Great Potting Soil
I used this to pot cherry potatoes from my Aerogarden and it is such good quality.....lightweight so the roots can expand and spread out for a healthy plant. I will definitely buy again.

LOOKS LIKE WOOD CHIPS BUT ON SECOND LOOK I BELIEVE IS CHOPPED UP TREE LEAVES
My initial thought was to give it one star for what appeared to be wood chips and a couple of spoonfuls of dirt. I rated it with two stars before opening the package and feeling it with my fingers. With this review, I am revising my initial rating for this one. What looked like wood chips appears to be pulverizedtree leaves which when mixed with dirt in the garden should make for a fertile soil. A price of $16 for chopped leaves and a bit of dirt, while usable, is in my opinion way too pricey for what it is. Next year I will chop the leaves from my yard trees, mulch them over the winter, and be ready for the garden next year. In short, this is a decent soil conditioner but the price of $16 seems unrealistic.

Didn’t expect
Didn’t expect it’s to be shredded bark. I wanted soil for potting So I added it to potting soil to loosen up the ground which worked out wonderfully

Potting soil was easy to work with
The product was received just in time to be used in transplanting herbs and other plants that we had just received. It has a pleasant texture and is easy to use in transplanting. We are waiting to see how well the plants react to the potting soil.

I thought soil meant dirt
I was looking to purchase potting soil to start seedlings, instead I got a bag of chewed up sticks with no actual soil. This could be used outside around trees already in the ground or maybe in well established flower beds. But not good for planting seeds and would definitely not be useful for growing herbs or delicate vegetables.

It's mulch.
It's literally a small bag of chipped wood.

Pretty good mix
Package does not indicate that the soil is certified organic so take that in consideration if it is important to you. Since my cats eat grass directly from the growing pot, I was pleased that this potting soil mix does not have those little fertilizer beads like the name brand stuff. Consistency of the potting soil seems nice and balanced.
