I bought this for my mom *she has tried lpts of different phone holder styles* and this is the one mount she has finally stuck with and asked for a second for her other car. It stays on well. And when shorter people are driving yoy can flip it upside down, so your phone hangs in front of the odometer and doesn't block your road view. No it has not left any marks either.

Perfect for holding my phone while driving. Secure and stable, doesn’t obstruct my line of sight while driving.This was purchased as a replacement, my original broke after about 6 months. It cracked on the part that actually sits against the top of the dash. There rubberized piece that the bottom of the phone sets on is attached to that spot with adhesive, that kept the entire thing from falling off, it started to flex at that point and eventually broke clear through. The clip that actually holds the phone is springloaded and works well, requires both hands, one to open the clip, one to seat the phone, do not try to place or remove your phone while driving! Clever item, if your dash is constructed correctly. I am using it in a 2015 Escape.

Piece of crap. Bad design. Doesn’t swivel like others. Does not stay on the dash. The clip is always slipping forward as the tension in the spring shaped base wants to close and slips off dash.

The two small bands that are supposed to hold the rubber foot designed to keep the holder where you place it broke immediately. It would have been better to permanently attach the piece and make it a little bigger so it still provides the no slip function for a variety of applications. Once I got the placement right and the foot in place it has worked flawlessly.

I love this car mount. I had purchased it as it was different from most other car mounts that I had seen.Some of the other mounts plug into the air conditioning vents and those have never worked for me. Usually, when I want to see my phone in the car it is because I have a GPS running for directions. The vent ones ALWAYS fall out on me and when they do stay up, I have to look down to see the screen. This one mounts on the dash and it is pretty much at my eye level.This was so easy to install on my dashboard, no additional tools are needed. I can put it close to my steering wheel so I am able to just quickly glance at it every few seconds. I have an iPhone 7 and it fits in the clamp perfectly. I have only driven with it attached briefly so far, but it stayed firmly in place while driving. I am very pleased with this dashboard car mount.In short, it is a simple 1-piece mount with no extra tools required and it stays in place. EXACTLY what I needed. I am very happy.

I couldn't find specific fit information for my car, so for others - it fits a 2008 Toyota Highlander perfectly! It has a solid grip and fits right in the center of the cluster. I'm 6'-1" and I can see over the top of this without it obstructing my view at all. My iPhone X fits snugly and it is a snap to place the in grip. It does not interfere with buttons on the phone and there's plenty of room below to press buttons if necessary.UPDATE - 7/2018The adhesives used to secure the rubber teeth break-down when exposed to heat and make for a sticky mess and the teeth fall out.Also - the iPhone X does not really like to be horizontal. Sure one app might work OK but switching between while horizontal is tricky and frustrating.

I thought I may be able to turn the part that holds my phone so I can read in portrait mode. Had to look for a spot in the car where I can turn the holder sideways. Otherwise it works perfectly.
