Masterpiece.
Vinyl plays perfect 0 skips, this album is one of their MANY MANY masterpieces but when it comes down to albums I’d say this is where it all picked up, aside previous to this “rubber soul” is my favorite Beatles album, “revolver”is hailed by many to be the Beatles “best album” arguable and in some terms I agree lol

Sounds Great
I received this Giles Martin remaster of Revolver as an Amazon album of the month. I have owned a few copies of this record over the years. This one is one of the best versions I have heard. I cannot say that it is enormously different than the last stereo remaster, but it sounds clearer. Small details are sharper. The midrange sounds more present. I still prefer the 2014 mono mix, but for a stereo mix I think this is as good as it has gotten. I have to say this is a pleasant surprise, too, because I loathe the Giles Martin version of Let It Be. I am happy to recommend this version of Revolver. I think every rock and roll fan should have a copy, anyway - if you haven't been directly influenced by it, the musicians you love probably were influenced by it.I would also like to say that the copy I have is flat, clean and silent. It is a very well pressed record. This is no longer a standard to take for granted, so I like to mention when things appear to have been done properly.

Buying this LP answered a Beatles Trivia question that I had for many decades.
Back in the days when I was really quite young and in MIDDLE SCHOOL, the Beatles were recording a number of songs that I heard mostly on the radio. Tracks such as ELEANOR RIGBY, YELLOW SUBMARINE ( which came along much later ), and a host of other memorable Songs that I do not have the space to name here. I had always considered them to have been 45s or singles that back in the 60s were often released on their own. It was not until I recently picked up a copy of REVOLVER that I came to realize that all of these songs had a home on an LP. A Beatles LP that I had somehow managed to miss as I grew up. I was just amazed as the LP played along and I was allowed to bring back memories from a time in my life when I was extremely innocent and very young indeed. It was a most interesting twenty minutes spent as I sat back and listened to a side of Beatles Music I had not had the chance to hear since well let's just say it was an extremely long time ago for some of these songs.

A must have for you Revolver fans!!!!
Blows away all previous versions by a large margin including the 2009 reissues!!!!! Giles has done another great job!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! I'm what some may call an audiophile and my audio system exploits everything good . . . and bad and thankfully it is all good for this remastering. The stereo mixes have been completely redone and now the LP sounds like it should!! Lead vocals are now centered and the harmonies are much louder which is all good! Moreover the remixes now provide a much better soundstage and sounds much fuller. The 'presence' boost, most evident in the original FP I own, and to a lesser degree with the 2009 reissues has been attenuated. I believe Giles also employed a 'de-esser' to get rid of sibilance which was most annoying in the original release and this new remastering has made the original and 2009 release almost unplayable by comparison. Giles has done a masterful job - I can't wait until he does the same to Rubber Soul and the early recordings!!!

Good enough for the price
This is my favorite Beatles album, and I've heard it in several different editions (although I don't think I've heard an original press in either mono or stereo). Basically, I would say it's very good but I'm not blown away.Mix- Well done, but not revelatory. I didn't feel like I was hearing anything I hadn't heard before. Nice separation of instruments and decent soundstage. Fat bass sound, no harshness in the high end. There was a digital step in the mastering, and I think it shows. This doesn't have the visceral presence or three-dimensionality of an all-analog transfer. However, it was only $27, and you'd probably have to spend many times that to get something demonstrably better. If you have a stereo version that you're already happy with, you probably don't need this.Press- Surprisingly noisy even after a thorough wet cleaning, although not intrusively so except in very soft passages. My copy was warped, so I'll probably send it back and try again.Music- If you don't know by now...
