Amazing baby gate that works great for dogs too! We got two of these to keep our dog out of the kitchen and they were so easy to put up. They fit in each of our different sized doorways and they fit very snug. They're made out of metal so they are also very sturdy and hold up to my kid lifting herself up on it sometimes . Very versatile for different doorways they give you the stuff to fit whereever. This gate is great for all ages but maybe not if you have hand mobility issues. It does take some movement to get it open but my parents who are in their 70s and my kid can do it with ease. Very safe gate and would get if my kid was younger.

I’ve owned this gate for years and just bought another because it’s that good! We use one to separate the living area from the bedrooms and another for our German Shepherd’s room. It’s incredibly sturdy—even adults have to use two hands to open it. Once you get the hang of the latch, it’s second nature. Installation is quick, it’s easy to adjust or remove, and it comes with everything you need. My first one lasted over 3 years of daily use with kids and large dogs constantly pushing into it. It keeps everyone safe and secure, and I wouldn’t buy any other gate plus the price is perfect.

I got this gate for my dogs so we can leave the door open on nice days without them running in and out. It works great once it’s set up, but there are a few things I wish I’d known before buying it.This isn’t the kind of gate you can pop in and out quickly. It’s more of a semi-permanent setup. You can remove it, but when you do, the end pieces will fall out, so it’s a bit of a hassle if you plan to move it often. If that’s your plan, you might want a one-piece gate instead.Once it’s installed though, it’s very sturdy. The pressure needs to be just right or the door won’t close properly, so make sure you measure your doorway and figure out which extenders you’ll need before setting it up. It took me a little trial and error to get everything aligned, but once I did, it fit perfectly. My doorway is 38 inches and I used both extenders.Now that it’s in place, it’s doing exactly what I wanted, the dogs can’t run out or bark every time someone walks by the backyard. Huge win! The gate door itself opens easily for adults, but it has a double-latch safety feature that would also make it great for babies or toddlers.Overall, once you get it set up, it’s sturdy and works really well. Just expect to spend a little time getting it right at first.

I really needed a gate for my two rambunctious young dogs. I wanted something that was expandable, to fit a larger opening if needed, plus did NOT require a permanent anchor because that wasn't needed.Likes?: Well-packed. The instructions were good enough to show what needs to be done. If adding the extension pieces I recommended looking at the instructions because the way the pieces slip in is not obvious. However, once this was figured out, the thing was easy to assemble. You will notice that at first, the thing looks weird becayse the door won't close correctly without a proper installation. However, once you install the gate in the space and tighten thing up, it begins to look and act like it shold. This is very sturdy, and well-built. I am judging for dogs, but the screws are tight enough that this will be very unlikely to be pushed over. Also, the gate itself has a red marker so that when you close it, green indicates it is locked. Also, there are turnable plastic tabs that allow you to make it closed from one or both directions. I like that this comes with a way to permanently install it but it isn't required.Te double way this locks means no dog will figure it out and doesn't;t have opposable thumbs. A baby won't get through this either, but I could see a child approaching three and over would be able to figure this out, though still getting its open might still be a challenge.Dislikes?: None really, for the price and what this is, an excellent product.Overall?: This really has been a lifesaver from allowing the household to function without chaos. Great product.

Easy to set up. Stays in place and does what I need it to do. Keep my little dog out of a bedroom I don’t want her going into.

We are really happy with this gate. It was easy to install (I threw the directions away by accident). The parts were all basically self-explanatory as to where they went. Packaging was neat and the parts were in bags and attached to the gate with zip ties. Got it installed in under 10 minutes. The gate opens easily and closes easily. It has extra parts included with it so you can adjust it to your door size. We installed this in order to keep our dog from getting to the litter boxes and cat dishes in our laundry room. The color fit almost perfectly to the trim of the door. The height is perfect for the younger cat to jump over it or can get through the bars. The gate is very sturdy also. Great product so far!

UPDATE, 3/09/17:I have now had and used this product long enough to update my prior review and I want to do so even though my prior review was "excellent." First, I confirm that the product is, indeed "excellent." Next I note that some features which I either had not thought were included, or which I thought I'd have to become accustomed to using, either are actually there or took a very minimal time to get used to. The gate works smoothly and can be shut without effort. We use it numerous times a day and it has not even needed to be adjusted, even though we let it kind of slam shut.We will be moving shortly and it is likely that we will need one or more additional gates. I will absolutely purchase the same one(s)! In fact, if were sure as to what I'll need, especially the sizes, I'd make the purchase now just in case they become unavailable for whatever reason. The following remarks are what I wrote when I published my review the first time: Over the almost 50 years of married life, I feel as if I've purchased every type and make of gates, to use for children, grandchildren and pets. None of them have proven practical and useful and/or have held up for what I consider a reasonable length of time, and many were far more costly Most of them had "weak"spots which broke. I installed this one 4 days ago. It seems quite durable. At least I don't see any potential "weak" spots. For me, the only downside is the latch operation. It appears to close tightly, which, of course, is a very positive feature. I like the options offered. You can set it up to swing open either or both ways, and there's a latch at the bottom that controls your opening and latching options, and serves as an additional locking feature. However I find it very difficult to unlock/open one handed as two things have to be pressed simultaneously. This is especially problematic if you are carrying anything, which we virtually always are, as only one hand is free. I am practicing using one hand and, hopefully, will later be able to do so more easily. I have another gate which only has one latch to press and the gate swings closed. However that has its pros and cons: easier to open and lock but the lock is not as secure and, if I am carrying something, I have to rush to get through before it swings closed. The double latching requirements make this one much harder for little ones to operate, but for now also harder for me. I'm not concerned about our little Yorkie, smart as she is, learning how to unlock it! So I highly recommend it if little ones are around and l suspect I will do the same, with more practice, if purchased just for pets. I don't know how well it would withstand a big Lab, etc., but I suspect it would, and only time and use will tell for sure if its durability surpasses my experiences with other gates.

installation was easy (just need to read instructions first - do not cut the twisty tie that holds the gate in tension with the post!!).however, the lock/latch mechanism is not convenient. requires pushing against a spring with your thumb while pushing against another spring with another finger to both open and closing the gate. this is a pain to do especially if you have arthritis in your hand and you put this gate in a high traffic area where you open/close a few dozen times a day.I have another gate (from Munchkin) that you simply pull up on the gate while pushing the gate open or close. very easy.

So long as the width of your entrance is 32" or less, it is a breeze to set up. Literally twist in the stoppers and go. At first I was worried it would not stay in place, but the grip is as firm as anything. Now there's no chance for my dog to get into the kitchen hehehehe.

Exactly how I envisioned it. Fit great, took about 30-45 mins to assemble and install on my own. It has the swing door too! Would recommend 10/10! I wanted it for my front porch so my lil pups could sit outside and people watch, without having to worry about them running onto the road! Love it :)
