FF Elaine 2 Pcs 4 Inch Length Stainless Steel Door Latch Sliding Lock Barrel Bolt

I needed some latches to keep the second door on my shed closed. Its one of those resin sheds and the second door is only held shut by the door with the handle. These latches work great for my need. I was slightly disappointed to find that they are hollow (The rectangle slider portion looks like the shape of a staple if you look at it from the end) but they still do the job i needed. I have not had any problems with them so far. I do like that they are wider than the typical round slider latch because these have 2-3 times the surface area to distribute any forces exerted on the shed door.

This is a bait and switch product that looks great in product pictures and even in its packaging, but when you pull the part out you see this is actually made from a VERY thin piece of sheet metal that's been stamped to bend the edges to look like it's made of 3/8" plate. Even the cross bar is bent sheet metal, and it's held on with four flimsy tabs.But don't take my word for it. The photos I took say it all. You're better off buying the cheapest latch you can find at your local hardware store.As a side note, it's advertised as stainless but nowhere on the packaging does it mention being stainless - at least in English.

As long as u don't need them to withstand a lot of weight your good... I used them with a baby gate.. looks clean and works well for small application's
