The zinc plate easy to install and heavy duty. By putting pressure on the foot latch -locks securely. Easy to unlatch.Used in shed on one of the doors. Keeps door securely closed.

Lasted 21 months
Lasted 21 months on shed door (opened about 1 time per week). Hollow cylinder has split in it (see photo). Latch on spring mechanism caught in split and I had to take bolt off to get door open—poor design. Do not recommend.
