Abus Buffo 34 Bicycle U-Lock (Standard)

Solid lock. Good length for getting the front wheel and frame both locked. Was annoyed at first that it locks onto the frame clip instead of just sliding in, but it is nice knowing that it's 100% secured and the lock itself can't be stolen.

The lock looks strong, so the main function of this product is okay. It's a little short too.But only after a few week, the part that attach the lock to the bike has broken because It's made of a very weak plastic.

I have always a couple of bike around me and many times need a good lock. This is it!Enough big to lock around a pose or to click it in a fence, heavy but really sturdy, reliable piece.Easy to put it on your bike and plastic part looks strong too.

Worst bike lock I’ve ever purchased . Lock sticks constantly, key is hard to get in and out and it’s over all a frustrating product . Don’t waste your $ money $

First the most important thing: this bike lock does lock and has (so far) prevented my bike from being stolen from a large college campus. But so did the kryptonite lock that I replaced with this one. On the downside, within a few weeks of use, the lock began to stick, and now needs regular lubrication to easily insert and remove the key. More recently the plastic housing around the locking mechanism has started to split at the seams and occasionally allows the entire locking mechanism to spin around inside it. It's easy enough to realign, but not an overwhelming sign of long-term durability. I am unimpressed.

I had to leave my bike on campus overnight the other day. Someone tried to steal my bike. Someone tried REALLY HARD to steal my bike. They tried to break my wheel, they tried to mess up my frame, and they tried to bust through my lock. They weren't able to. I came by the next day and found both pieces of my bike (the front wheel and the frame) still locked to the bike rack. I was able to unlock the pieces and get them home. Great lock.

I purchased a bike but didn't get home till 8:30 last night 8-6-14 and locked it in a private garage with the Buffo lock, ready to take the first ride today. The next day after work I went to the new bike and tried to unlock it the key didn't work. I looked closer and suddenly I saw flakes all around. Someone had tired to drill through the lock! There was three holes going through it, but they didn't break it! Thank you lock for saving my bike from being stolen before the first ride!

Keyhole became very stubborn after six months of use, forcing me to push and wriggle the key to get it to work. Which worked, until the key snapped in half, leaving part in the lock, stuck behind the keyhole flap, leaving the whole lock useless.
