It is perfectly built and exactly what I wanted also it is easy to put together.

Quality table. Well built and sturdy. This exact model can be found on the Ashley website at a much higher price with an additional $200 delivery fee. We bought it on Amazon for less with no issues. It is a heavy table and understandably comes in a large box. Easy to assemble if you prefer to do it yourself.

The table is sturdy and is the exact color I was hoping for in person. 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. First, I read prior reviews about a split being in the wood on top. I was good with one, not expecting 4. See photo Second, using staples to nail down the straps to hold the boxes in that have the legs was dumb. Having to use needle nose pliers to try to pull the staples out, so the bottom of my table is loaded with staples that have pieces of black straps stuck inside of them. It was taking forever to do this, so I gave up after getting 6 out.

Love this table, it is very sturdy. Some reviews said there are cuts in the surface that need repair. This is part of the design, I did see the table in a store as well and it is beautiful. One person can assemble but it did take two of us to turn it upright.

I loved this table when we assembled it. It was inexpensive and shipped fast. Yes, it weighs approximately one million tons since it is a composite material and not hardwood. The top isn’t the most durable and can be fairly easily dented by my toddler stabbing a butter knife to it. It also has a few gashes in the top that were intentionally made as a design element which I was fine with (other reviews say this is a defect, but they are wrong. I had a table from the same brand with similar gashes to make it more “rustic”, it just doesn’t work the best with the design of this table). These were all things I knew about when I bought it and was content with. However, the leaf extension mechanism is dangerously bad. The entire million pound table is being held together with wooden sticks, 1”x2” pieces of plastic, and screws that drill in less than half an inch. I pulled the table into the position with the leaf fine, but the very first time putting it back to the smaller mode (and following the manual for it), the assembly snapped then derailed. Brittle plastic. That’s what they decided to rest the entire weight of the table on. Had any of the components been metal and properly secured this would have been avoided. I then went under the table and guided the assembly back into place as best I could and locked it up. I thought that was an okay bandaid but then not a week later it suddenly fell out and caused the table to bow in the middle. If my child was near the table when this happened he could have been seriously injured or killed, and it was only through pure luck no one was seated at the chairs that were now bearing the weight. The locking mechanism had been pulled from the composite wood, having only been secured with shallow screws. Luckily I was still within the return window so Amazon was able to schedule a pickup and refund me the money. Ashley itself does not stand behind their products and if this happens to you outside of the return window but within the warranty I imagine it would be a huge headache (even if Ashley doesn’t offer a guarantee every US state has an implied warranty of merchantability that means if you buy something you have a reasonable expectation that it won’t break immediately/within a specified time period. Many brands violate those consumer rights).

Wow this looks great. Very heavy duty and solid. I did have to reposition one of the latch brackets and a latch on the center fold down piece. But it wasn't a big deal and I got the table for a great price and I love it.

The good: The tabletop is perfectly fine. It is exactly what i expected. The height was as expected as well. It seems durable and very nice. The size is as advertised and there were no missing parts. So I would rate this a 5 star from the look of the product and the size. The bad: This took 2 months to arrive. Granted, the day before the first expected delivery date the shipping company called me and told me there was a delay. Little did I know that delay would be another month. When the item arrived there was some small amount of damage to the box. After two months, I expected some light damage to the carboard box. After opening the box I noticed the table top was in fine shape. The same could not be said for the leaf that is in the table. It was very damaged. The cross beams that hold the fold out leaf in a proper placement and alignment were broken. Not just dented or bent, but the wood was completely cracked in half. And one side was split and part of the split piece was loose in the box itself. Luckily I have wood working skills. I was able to repair the split and and cracked pieces on both sides. Since the carriage of the pull out leaf are not visible on a routine basis (only when putting the leaf in and out of use). This rates a 2. So, overall I am happy with the table once I made the needed repairs. It was certainly better than returning the table and waiting another 2 months or more. Overall a 3. Mostly because of the delay in shipping and the significant damage to the unit when it arrived.

Table arrived the box badly damaged and retapped. The instructions envelope has Happiness and Instructions crossed out and no instructions inside. The package of screws already opened and put in a zip lock bag missing 1 set of screw, washers.
