I hoped for an actual workbook and more on their Wheel of the Year system
I love the Wildwood Tarot, and felt very drawn to using it in accordance with the Wheel of the Year as described briefly in the guidebook that accompanies the deck. However, in the card descriptions that followed in that book, the authors reverted back to the Rider Waite Smith numbering and gave no further hints as to using the deck according to the Wheel. I wish the creators of the deck and books would have "owned" the system they created and numbered the cards according to their appearance in the Wheel; to present that, but then revert back to standard numbering, is confusing.Because of the title, I also hoped for a real "workbook," guided activities and exercises to help me reflect, write, and really learn the cards and the system hinted at in the cards' guide book. But there is nothing like that. There ARE a few guided meditations-- but as with so many other books that offer written meditations, unless one wants to go to the trouble of pre-recording the meditations, it is really impossible to juggle the book and read the text while attempting to enter a deep meditation! This book gives additional card descriptions beyond what was in the book that accompanies the deck, but only for the Major Arcana. This might seem like a petty grievance, but the typeface is simply way too small. We're not all in our 20s, why make it harder for some of us to read the book?Lastly, the ecological diatribe at the beginning of the book really annoys me. I think it's safe to assume that anyone invested enough to have purchased the deck and guidebook AND this supplementary workbook is tuned in enough to the plight of the natural world so that we might dispense with this lecture. I could also have done without the incessant Christian-bashing.While I feel this book added to my knowledge of the deck, I don't feel it enhanced my practical ability to read. For that I would have loved an actual workbook: things to try, to reflect on, to write about. I would also love to see an entire book fleshing out the Wheel of the Year system only touched on in the original book accompanying the cards.

Work book for the Wildwood Tarot
This work book is excellent for strengthening understanding of the Wildwood Tarot. I have used the deck for years and actually purchased it several times both for personal use and as gifts. This workbook helps to deepen understanding of the deck, as well as providing some useful techniques for self meditation as well. Great purchase.

Great book, but not flexibound as listed.
Wild Magic: The Wildwood Tarot Workbook Great book, but is not flexibound as listed. I contacted Mark Ryan & it turns out there is not flexibound book published. He did not know why Amazon listed it that way. He did tell me I could take it to an office supply place & have it done for around $3.00. I find that helpful & will do that.

Interesting take on an already favorite deck
I enjoyed reading this further explanation and exposition of the Wildwood Tarot. The deck now holds greater significance to me and will flavor the readings I do with it.

Handy to have
While informative this book isn’t quite as useful as I had thought it would be. While it leads to an interesting FB group, to get to the real information it requires paying for a course.

It’s ok
Slightly disappointed by this. It is not a workbook at all. I thought it would have daily practises and stuff but it didn’t. The book that actually comes with the cards is much better.

Joli livre mais ne couvre malheureusement pas toutes les cartes du tarot... Bien dommage. Sinon belle qualité et livraison rapide.
