These are worth trying!
The media could not be loaded. I have ten ukuleles in my house that are all different when it comes to size, tone woods, construction, and features (tuners, bridge, nut, saddle, etc.). Here’s one thing I know: every instrument responds differently to strings based on all the construction variables. I put this set of low G and black nylon strings on my solid spruce top uke to mellow it out a bit, and now it is perfect. With the previous fluorocarbon strings it was just too snappy sounding. The Ernie Ball black nylons give it outstanding sound with good projection, clear ringing with each note, and the black color is a sweet look to boot. Interestingly, I had a set on a high gloss solid mahogany tenor ukulele and I thought the sound was just ok. Not bad, but not great. It’s important to note that It’s hard to call a string “bad” (like reviewers often do) when it’s just not the string set’s fault that it is poorly matched with the instrument. That being said, it’s a crying shame that many of the instruments being sold these days come with the thick synthetic nylon marketed as similar to old school gut. Sure, those strings are durable and have good tuning stability, but they are thick and stiff, and the tone is often dull with a C string “thuds.” Those strings actually ARE bad, but I understand why uke manufactures include them on entry level and value ukuleles — it prevents new players from breaking strings b when they are mistakenly using guitar picks, or they are writing bad reviews because the instrument goes out of tune easily when new.Like all nylon, these E.B.’s will take some time for them to stretch out and stabilize. That is not a flaw, but the reality of nylon strings.I am pleased with these Ernie Ball strings and will keep using them on one or two specific instruments. Price is right and they are easy to play. BIG BONUS with these is the ball ends. It makes stringing a snap. I wish more string guys followed suit.

NOT FOR BARITONE
I know these are not listed for baritones. But my baritone ukulele needs ball end strings so I figured I'd give it a try. If you have a baritone ukulele, DO NOT give it a try. Otherwise, these are nice strings, they feel good. They are keeping their tune well after settling for a little over a week. But they are a traditional ukulele sound, and avoiding that is why I got a baritone.

Great sound. Instant improvement in brilliance. Thank you Ernie Ball!
Wow, i had neglected to replace the strings on my ukulele, and missed the gradual erosion of sound quality. Instant brightness when i replaced the strings with Ernie Ball strings. This, to me was great value for a $5.00 cost. It made a believer out of me, and is going on my calendar 2x per year. Great sound and great value.

Blacked-out!
The ball ends make for a very easy installation, and for a tidy look. The black strings look better on my dark uke.I think the string feel is maybe a little better than what I had before. As with any flurocarbon line (strings or fishing line) it takes a few loading cycles, but these strings are coming into tune nicely and requiring less adjustments each consecutive session.Last word: I'd buy these again, no doubt.

Great Tone and Lasting Sustain
I used these strings on a carbon fiber Enya concert ukulele. The strings improved the sound drastically. The tone is clear and vibrant and the sustain improved noticeably.

Not happy... but getting there
Edited to add: Amazon AI customer service directed me to the Ernie Ball website for support. I used their contact page to let them know what happened. I had a response almost immediately and they referred the matter to their Canadian supplier. Took a few photos and emailed them to the Canadian rep and was told a replacement set would be sent out as soon as possible. Will update again if there's an issue with the speed or quality :)Original review follows:Switched out the full set of strings on my tenor ukulele. Let everything rest overnight then tried to tune it this morning. Immediately the Low G string snapped and broke. Thank goodness it was the string and not the neck of my ukulele!!! I took a chance on these strings - and now I know better. Seems this is a problem going back quite a while and nothing has been done about it as it's still happening. Sadly, the return window has closed - I bought two sets and will not be installing the second set after this experience. Lesson learned the hard way :(

I'm a convert
I've been trying the other big names over the past 5 years but may stick with these. They give my Kala concert uke a lovely warm tone, and the ball ends are so easy to use. So happy.
