Titanium High Performance Spark Plug Wire Protect Boot Heat Shield Thermal Protection, Pack of 8PCS

I needed a set of plug wire protectors for my SBC after installing a different set of headers. I've used other more expensive brands and have had bad luck with them. So I seen these and being the titanium ones plus really good price figured I would try them to see if they held up cause I was tired of spending $50 or more for the other brands. Well I'm glad I got these cause it's been about 4 months and lots of hard miles on my C10 with two of the boots on the headers due to the header design. So I can say they hold up extremely well and there high quality made. Extremely..extremely pleased with the quality of them and how well they hold up, no burn marks or through and my MSD plug wires are nice and safe.

There's a steel wire ring inside the sleeve, PITA to remove. These will NOT fit over my Accel ceramic boots with that pesky little ring in place.Once removed, the sleeve is large enough to fit over the boot -- a bit too large, in fact, resulting in a sloppy fit that is likely to move around over time. Looking for something else....

These didn’t fit over my spark plug boots, and I wasn’t willing to modify my wires to make them work. I ended up bending and removing the metal ring from inside of them, I then was able to slip them over the plug boot. After removing the metal wire they weren’t a great fit. I had to zip tie them to keep them where I wanted them.

My 18 SS Cammed FBO, has a reputation for cooking off plug wires. Example an OEM wire with a shield will last about 600miles before its melted through. With these sleeves, the hem heat boots, and mud plug wires I was finally able to prevent to wire cook off.
