This is a nice set of metric hole saw bits. I purchased them for DiY retro-arcade builds, and they cut quickly & cleanly. These just barely slide in to a 3/8" chuck. For safety though, I'd suggest a 1/2" drill with a side handle or a drill press (if possible). Definitely review hole saw safety if you are new. It seems like a simple concept, but like any power tool, can be dangerous if used incorrectly.Springs on the pilot bits keep the wood from getting stuck inside the hole saw. The paint seems fairly tough and protective, and they kept the set screws for the removable pilot bits free of paint. A case would have been nice, but the price is right for not having a case.I dropped one star for packaging. They come in individual, unsealed plastic shells. Easy to open, but they also come open in the box they were shipped in (plain box shipped in padded bag). The larger bits blew through the bottoms of the shells that didn't open. My set did not appear to be damaged.

I have recently started building electronic equipment again and find the need to cut metric sized holes quite often. I am cutting mostly through plastics so I can only comment on that use. These holes saws work out great for me. The only drawback is their sizes are not marked on each saw, only on their plastic containers. I solved that by marking the mm size not only on the outside of the saw itself, which will probably wear off in time, but also on the shank with a black sharpie.

These fit in my Black & Decker drill and I love the spring(s) so material you're working on doesn't get stuck in the hole(s). These were shipped housed in individual plastic shells inside a thick plastic bag that was the right side to keep them tightly packed together and closed. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!
