Curious George Takes a Train

The whole Curious George series has been a favorite of my kids. From very early on, we started reading them to them, and the older they got, the more there was to learn and understand from the books and the pictures. Some reviewers have complained that these are not the original Curious George books or that the plot is very repetitive. While these are not the originals, my kids do not seem to mind, and I don't think they are "worse" than the originals, just slightly different if at all.The plot is repetitive but that is because George is always getting into trouble so you have the same pattern--he gets curious, he does something naughty, something bad happens, then something good comes out of the bad event, and then everyone is happy and George is usually a hero. This does not bother me in the least. My kids find his adventures interesting and never get bored with that "plot." To them, it is funny and what makes Curious George funny. Sure, if this was an adult book then the repetition might be problematic but thankfully it is not an adult book!The illustrations are nice and detailed and provide a lot of material for my kids to look at while I read the story to them. The quality of the pages is good and it's nice that there is sometimes stickers or a little activity in the back, though truthfully my kids have never cared for them much.I like that there are many of these books because my kids become familiar with George and the concept of series, and can distinguish one book in the series from another and even have favorites.I really don't think you can go wrong with these books. I don't know many other kids that don't like these. They are a good investment!

It’s a great story. You can’t go wrong reading Curious George. It invites much conversation which is so important for little ones to be able to learn to read and process information.

So cute!!! I bought this for my 2yo son because he loves Curious George and is obsessed with trains. This has definitely become his favorite book. The story is fun and entertaining. And it's the perfect length; long enough to be a good bedtime story, but not too long to loose a toddlers interest. This really is one of my kids books that I don't mind having to read over & over again :)

My four-year-old loves trains, so this book is a hit with him. We find various train books available on Amazon for really little money at all. Curious George tries to be helpful at the train depot, but creates scheduling problems. However, the curious, handful of a monkey saves the day at the end of the book. It's a feel-good story that will make most any child smile. Curious George Takes a Train was priced dirt cheap by the seller, the book arrived just six days after the transaction was complete, and is in really good condition.

This has become a favorite of my grandchildren during nightly FaceTime story time.

I would give it 3 stars for bad grammar and annoying plot but my 2yr old son love all curious george and trains so this book is a win win for him. My husband read it to him 3 times before bed.

Curious George is my favorite book series and off course, I bought this book (and others) to give to my unborn grandson. I want him to grow up with Curious George books and will be buying the entire series. The book size is medium and perfect for a child. Not to heavy. Lots of illustrations. You can never get enough of Curious George.

My 3 year old LOVES the curious george books. He is really able to follow the stories and loves playing pretend acting out the books after he reads them.

Nothing special just a great book for kids. Reminds me of when I was a kid reading these books.

Es un libro con ilustraciones clásicas, para mi gusto muy bonitas, mi hijo es muy fan de George así que le encanta. Creo que me gustaría más si fuese de tapa dura, pero por el precio que tiene está fenomenal.

Il libricino è ricco di illustrazioni e la storia è raccontata in inglese ma non è stato un problema per me tradurla al mio bimbo di 2 anni e mezzo, che peraltro adora anche sentirla in lingua originale. Consigliato!
