I was a bit reluctant to get this mattress - my thought is why get the pump built in - it's just one more thing that could go wrong. I typically have purchased basic camping air mattresses and used my hand held battery powered blower to inflate. But I was looking for something more comfortable and thought I would give this a try.I was really impressed with the how quick this inflates. The air retention was great - I didn't feel any loss of pressure through the night. For the first few uses there was a plastic/rubber smell - it may be a good idea to inflate it and let it rest in a well ventilated room if you re sensitive to that. While the smell was present it wasn't too bad in my opinion. The material itself feels very durable and strong. I found the comfort level to exceed my expectations. It does not feel like a traditional air mattress - I believe the internal design works well to create a more 'regular' mattress feel.My favorite feature was the pump not only inflates the mattress but it deflates it as well! This was an awesome surprise. I was staying with someone that has limited space so I needed to put it away each day. This was made super easy using the pump - I was able to deflate and store in the provided bag within 5 minutes. Set up is equally easy and fast. Very happy with the purchase.

July 21, 2019OK, So, I am writing another review on top of my first review for this company and this bed because I can't figure out how to write a second review for the same product. (Or if it's possible to do so.).This company is one in a million! It's not a great time to be a consumer, in this world, however, the people at King Koil (Patrick) have proved me wrong and have gone far beyond what anyone would expect from an air mattress company!! They replaced my bed - TWICE!! If you have ever gone to Target or Walmart and bought an air mattress for yourself, please take note of how the manufacturer has shielded themselves from any returns, whatsoever! (One particular, well known, Canadian company comes to my mind - no problem for them to take your money and run!) It's very hard, for some reason, for air mattress companies to stand behind their product. King Koil however, makes it clear that your satisfaction, as a customer, is VERY important to them. Your review of their product and your "word of mouth" makes a difference to them. They feel confident about their product and if you are unsatisfied with it, in any way, they want to make it right with you. I'd have to search Amazon at long time to come across a review that tells the world that they would be foolish to purchase a similar product from any other company in the WORLD! BTW, this review should have been written a few months ago. I apologize for the delay (I've been a little busy).Thank you to King Koil for standing by your product and replacing my purchase twice. I appreciate your commitment to customer satisfaction, your speedy emails back to me (Patrick) and for making the replacement effortless. I'm very sorry for not getting this review up sooner as I don't want to diminish my appreciation. You guys are great and my mattress is unbelievable comfortable!! Thank you!!!!!!I cannot tell explain how happy I am with the customer service for this company. Before that though, let me mention that the bed is beautiful and I love the self inflate feature that allows you to just plug it in, turn a dial and it inflates immediately. No pulling out a separate item that has to be purchased, plugging it in, trying to reach the bed to blow it up, etc...... This is a no hassle inflating procedure.I had the bed about 9 months and it developed a slow leak. I figured I would need to purchase another but checked my receipt to see when I purchased it and noticed that it had a year long guarantee. I contacted the company, through Amazon and within 5 minutes I got an email back stating that my bed was under guarantee and they would send me a replacement. They wanted a picture of the "damage". After a couple days, I checked the bed and could not find where the leak was coming from. I wrote another email back to them and again - 5 minutes later received a reply stating "no problem, we will rush you a replacement.”- “No need to send back the damaged bed!” What a relief to not have to deal with repacking the damaged bed and mailing it back to them. Within 2 days - I received a replacement. What a breeze!!! This was top-notch customer service!After dealing with a competitor of King Koil’s a few years back, I cannot explain how impressed I was by King Koil's customer service and how quickly they stood by their product. A few years ago, after purchasing an air bed from a competitor, I noticed that mold had developed on the top of the mattress. I sent a picture to the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement. Several months later, I took the bed out to use and after blowing it up, I discovered that they had sent me a cheaper, low end bed that was substantially smaller than the one I had originally purchased. When I called and emailed the manufacturer, they told me that my bed was now no longer covered under the warranty so they wouldn't do anything about it. I told them that THEY made an error (I don't really think it was an error). They would not stand by their product or their mistake. I believe they shipped me an inferior product replacement because that is how they do business. They also make it clear, in writing, all over the box and on literature inside the box, that it will not be easy to return this product. I will never buy another product from that competitor's company and I make sure that I tell everyone I know not to buy from them. They are unprofessional, the quality is awful and the customer service is horrendous.I am so pleased with King Koil and the person that emailed me back several times to help me resolve my issue. More than once, Patrick wrote in his email that "we are here for you". Thank you, Patrick!!! It was a pleasure to work with you and I am very pleased with my purchase. This is just a really good air mattress. Truthfully, I've only used it a few times in the 3 years I've had it.It's so easy to inflate and deflate. I love the automatic inflating feature. It's tall and it's more supportive than other air mattresses I've used, making it pretty comfortable. This is saying a lot because I cosleep with my kids, and anyone who has done that knows that the kids commandeer approximately 90% of the bed and leave you with roughly 6" of mattress to squeeze your overweight body onto.At least with the high weight limit, I don't have to worry about us maxing it out any time soon.

TLDR: Have only used this one occasion for 4 nights and provided my guest a comfortable stay while he was with me (he’s a 34-year-old 5’8” male who is used to professional travel and comfort). This inflated quickly, stayed inflated, and didn’t have any issues with it going down.Keep in mind, this is very large and makes storing it difficult (which is why I rated it a 4 over a 5) and is my only qualm as I have had others in the past that are a bit more compact and have better foldability, but this is likely made up for in the comfort. This provided a good night sleep and will be a great option for my guests, when needed.This was incredibly easy to set up, was relatively quick to inflate with the built in pump, and deflated just as easily as well, so I do commend the quality of the product in that sense which made this very a functional and practical option in my studio apartment (but also studio apartment means limited storage space, hence frustration as previously noted).Overall, would recommend! We purchased this for a 23-day road trip which included 11 days of camping. It was perfect for us. We were able to inflate it using the outlet in our truck when we were in campgrounds that didn't have electricity, which was great. The inflate and deflate functions were fast and worked well. We even used it at a walk-in campground, filling it up at the truck using the outlet there, and then just deflating it manually when it was time to go home. The mattress holds its air very well for two to three nights of sleeping. After that we would want to inflate it a bit, which seems typical for air mattresses. It was very comfortable for us - my husband is 6'3 and about 200 lbs, and he moves around a lot, so we need a stable mattress. We both slept great every night! The bag that holds it is well sized and held up over the 23 days. Would definitely purchase this item again.
