Q: Can you use these ear plugs for swimming?

I wouldn't suggest it. They are made out of kind of spungy foam and I don't think they would keep water out of the ear. There are earplugs that are meant specifically for swimming which I got at my local pharmacy. Possibly Amazon sells them with there swimming accessories like goggles and nose plugs,etc.

Q: How long is the cord?

i really don't remember. If I remember correctly I didn't use the cord. Seems like it reached around the back of my head, but just wasn't necessary.

Q: Has anyone tried wearing these at an indoor shooting range? suggested is nrr 28-31, but is nrr 25 that much different than 28?

I have used indoor. It works the same. It filters out some frequencies. What you do have to remember is that there is more echoing indoors and because you are in an enclosed area the sound pressure seem to be a little higher. All in all I don’t think there is much difference.

Q: Can you use these for sleep or if you are a side sleeper do they stick out too much?

They do stick out too much for normal sleep, but I have taken a few naps with them in. Also, after 6 months of use they have gotten a little too rubbery and a bit annoying (twisting) to get them in.
