Another Spigen quality product!
Well it's October 2023 and Apple released the Ultra with the same finish as last year-- much to my dismay, because I wanted to upgrade my aluminum Series 4 watch to a dark Apple Watch Ultra 2. Well a snug black case will have to do, and Spigen delivered. As you can see in the picture, you do still see an outline of the watch's titanium, but it's a nice accent, and allows you to use a separate, non-bezeled screen protector if you so desire (the case itself does not include a screen protector, but Spigen makes a compatible one -- the GlasTR EZ Fit). The cut-outs for the band are nice and precise, so you can use pretty much any band you would use without the case. The case feels solid and well-designed, and takes a little maneuvering to get it on, but once it's on it stays put with no jiggle. Best to turn your watch off when installing it because you'll be pressing buttons and screen as you wriggle it into place and you don't want to wake up Grandma if you accidentally sound your siren. As for value, price is probably a little on the high side, but I'm willing to pay a little more for a quality product that gives the look and protection I want. Hopefully it will hold me over and prevent the buyer's remorse I'll have when I find out they're making a black Ultra in 2024.

SPIGEN cases are amazing…
I have to level with you. I’ve been using Spigen products for years. The bumper case for Apple Watches has NEVER let me down. The price-to-quality is absolutely amazing!!I purchased this for my Apple Watch Ultra 2. I didn’t want to get a case with a screen protector built in, I just need a solid quality with “shock resist” capabilities. Between my personal and professional life there are times when I bump and bang up my watch. So, I need something to keep my watch looking nice and new.I tend to keep my Apple Watches for a 3-4 year period before upgrading. So, SPIGEN is my go to for Apple Watches. The product is lightweight, very easy to put on and take off (for cleaning purposes) and truly provides my Apple Watch with a strong protection on the sides. There’s plenty of room to also install a screen protector for those of you whom like a rugged looking case and want to install a screen protector.

Good protector for the Apple Watch Ultra 2
I recently purchased the Spigen Rugged Armor case for my Apple Watch Ultra 2, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. This durable TPU case fits perfectly on my 49mm Apple Watch Ultra, providing exceptional protection without adding unnecessary bulk. One of the standout features of this case is its sleek, black design that complements the aesthetics of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 while offering robust defense against everyday wear and tear. The matte finish and carbon fiber accents give it a stylish, rugged look that matches well with both casual and professional attire.Installation was a breeze; the case snapped onto the watch effortlessly and stays securely in place. Despite its rugged construction, all the buttons and sensors remain fully accessible and responsive. The raised edges offer additional protection for the screen, giving me peace of mind knowing my watch is safe from scratches and impacts.Overall, the Spigen Rugged Armor case is an excellent investment for anyone looking to safeguard their Apple Watch Ultra 2. Its combination of durability, style, and ease of use makes it a top choice for protecting your valuable device. Highly recommended!

Contoured fit reduces the bulky appearance of a protective shell
Fits like a glove. Like how easy it is to put on and take off. You do need to take the straps of the watch to install or remove. It has prevented damage to my watch during various home improvement projects and yard work. Dirt will accumulate easily in all the corners but cleans off easily. Will be interested to see how it holds up over time.

Just Okay, Not Good Fitting
I bought this case along with the case with the integrated band by Spigen. I thought they would be one and the same but they are not. The integrated band with the case appealed to me since it seemed like less points of failure for the band. But anyway, I was a little disappointed with this standalone case. The standalone case does not seem to be as protective or fitting than that of the band case. The lips are a little more shallow and the watch case is exposed by approximately a millimeter on all sides on the face. The band case doesn’t have these issues and is way more snug and secure. Why not just copy the case and have it standalone? I don’t get it. Maybe they had different designers. See my attached pictures to understand what I am talking about.I’m also taking points off for the blatant copy of G-Shock’s “Shock Resist” text on the face. They seem to be trying to capitalize on that. But also since I wear my watch on my right wrist with the crown on the left the text is upside-down. So it looks absolutely ridiculous. I could have done without that. However it does protect fairly well and haven’t seen any issues. The buttons are nice and provide good feedback. They also have nice ridges on them so you know where they are.If you want a more snug fit and better protection with more raised lips I’d go with the band case.
