Dayton Audio DC200-8 8" Classic Woofer

Two speakers received in time. But disappointing that, one speaker has serious issue with it's coil is seriously rubbing on magnet. I can feel it by pushing gently the cone paper. Other one is ok. What to do

45年前のSANSUI SP-X1（密閉型）がそろそろ寿命で改造。25ｃｍウーファー（40Ｈｚ～）を外し、その代わりにとデイトンの20ｃｍを購入。バッフルの6割ほどを切り取り、現物合わせで自作したバッフル板を中へ入れ、元のバッフル板の裏側へ固定。 同時にバスレフ型に改造したため、吸音材は大幅に減らし、ウーファー位置は下寄りから中央付近に変更、ツイーターも上へずらした。おかげでバッフル板の見た目はひどいが、JBLとSANSUIが提携していた頃の木の格子のカバーを付けることで隠した。この格子への愛着で捨てられなかったもの。 バスレフポートは３種ほど試し、断面積が小さめの33Hzを狙ったものを採用。低音がふんだんに出てきて、同じ音楽でも別物に聞こえる事もある。重低音が、ややボヨンとした音に聞こえる事があるのは、調整やエイジングで変わるものなのか、原音がその音なのか不明。でも、そう気にはならず、低音を楽しんでいる。バロック中心からジャズやポップスを聞く比率が増えた。たまに重低音が大音量で録音されている曲があり、驚く。 自作バックロードホーン（13ｃｍスピーカー）と聞き比べると、低音の伸びは同等に聞こえる。バックロードホーン（BH）のわずかに出てくる残響音（？）や広い低音域での絶妙なボリュームレベルが臨場感につながっている気がして、わずかにBHの方が役者が上という印象。 ユーチューブの周波数が徐々に上がっていく音源を試すと、デイトンでは20Hzからごく小さな音が聞こえ出したのに対し、自作BHでは30Hz辺りが聞こえ始めだった。どちらも50Hz辺りから上はまあまあの音量になった。（あくまで私の聞こえ方です。耳に自信があるわけではありません） ウーファ径を小さくしたのに低音がぐっと増えて音楽の楽しみアップ。いい改造ができ満足です。

When I received the Dayton Audio DC200-8 8" Classic Woofers, I found they were carefully packed against any potential shipping damage. Taking them out of the box, it took me about 10 minutes to replace each of my 40-year-old woofers whose paper cones had long since disintegrated. Once they were replaced< I had my wife start a movie she had been watching earlier in the day. She was astonished at the difference. She commented on being able to easily hear the deep soft cello notes that she hadn't been able to hear previously. As a musician, she was immediately taken by the speakers and the clear crisp sound they produced. From my perspective, the speakers were super easy to install and I didn't have to make any adjustments to the screw holes or anything else. The sound is so much better than the old speakers, I can't remember when these old speakers sounded so good. The price was considered very reasonable. If I had to do it again, I'd chose these woofers.

40年以上前のスピーカーを使っていましたが、音がビビるので「Dayton Audio DC200-8 クラシックシリーズ 20cm ウーファー 8Ω」に取り替えました、結果は上々です音がクリヤーで前と比べものなりませんでした、40年前のと比較ではあたり前かもしれませんが満足しています。

It fits perfect on my Bose 601 series, and clear sound.
