I purchased two. I leave one of my car and one by my bedside. I’ve had to use them on occasion and they work fine. I can use them to pinpoint or fan out. The light also has a strobe not sure when I’m gonna use that but All in all good value

I've been fooled by photos before, but I figured, at this price, it's worth a shot. This time, the picture is worth a thousand words, but I won't bore you with the details... Suffice to say I am mighty impressed with this little gem. It's a strong buy suggestion right off the bat.It's true many mass manufactured items merely RESEMBLE the product they're knocking off and my judgement has been overruled by nostalgia before. But, in this case, the better strategies for emulating tried and true apply. Namely, updating features, improving on design and win/win market pricing.First off, it's BRIGHT. No cost tradeoff on the Lumen front. Secondly, it's very sturdy. The box (a twofer dual pack!) felt heavier than expected in the big envelope it came in and there's some real heft for such a small thing. It has a very handsome design with a sure-grip shaft and some unnecessary ridging and crowning detail on the bell. Just a nice touch, apparently.The focusing expander LOOKS like it's a machine screw design for precision, but it's just window dressing. It's the only knock I have since I abhor even the appearance of deception. Still, the slider does narrow the beam and it gets down to a perfectly acceptable resolution with smooth action back and forth.The battery compartment is well sealed by good quality threading while the cage is tight and seems to be water resistant. There's excellent spring in the activator on top and bottom and the red button is a thoughtful nod to fumbling in the dark. Even the wrist strap looks sturdy and of good quality.The LED bulb is bright and the concave lens no doubt helps to intensify the surprisingly powerful beam. I took it outside at night and had no trouble seeing objects well in front of me in a very wide field.The touch sensitive thumb switch offers up a steady state, a rapid strobe and an SOS option which should signal a call for help noticeable from a good distance away. You never know...No way, obviously, to comment on or rate battery life (not included) and I give it overall 4 stars to leave headroom for truly outstanding items.It was a close call though...

Excellent, bright flashlight. Works on AAA batteries (3). Zoom really works. Quality feel.

I use these flashlights for work. The reason I chose these flashlights is because they can take the 18650 batteries and they are inexpensive. The flashlights last about week on one battery and they are really bright. The lens has a zoom so you can see a large area close up or a small area far away.

Light is bright, adjustable pattern makes it a versatile tool to have. The 3 battery system is what I was looking for.
