Its a basic Programmable controller
Good Quality compact controller, USB B can fail over time, shame it comes with no midi feedback. Versatile as it has dials and buttons. Wish you could lock buttons, ok value for money.

Excellent midi pad
Absolutely excellent midi pad. The AKAI software to configure it could use some improvements but it's ok.

Amazing Price For Such A Good Controller
I can't give a full 5 stars as mine came faulty, it worked very well for a while then stopped working entirely and wouldn't power up. However without taking into account the faulty unit this MIDI controller is absolutely amazing! Extremely useful for anyone thinking about starting music, makes a big change from making music with computer software, with MIDI controllers you can actually experience and feel the music by actually interacting and creating it by hand! So if you're a practical learner this is ideal for you, it's very intuitive to make music on a physical device and for the price you really cannot go wrong as it is an extremely good value for money! I use it personally alongside Ableton 12 and it works perfectly, also connects ans works well alongside my microphone and audio interface

Use it as an additional controller for DJing
Really good quality. I use it as dedicated controller for Ableton LINK when I work with Traktor Pro 3 or FX panel when I use Djay Pro with Traktor S3 controller. It works pretty well. You can really easy to map it in Ableton, Traktor, Djay Pro and another software that support midi mapping. I think you can achieve absolutely any worflow that you need.

Not the best pads.
Pads not really that responsive. You have to hit them really hard. I'm told the older versions were better quality. I sent this back and got A Maschine Mikro MKII instead.

Great Akai product
It’s a typical Akai product. Durable, responsive, compatible, and comes with loads of bonus software. The pads are a little stiff. I gotta smack em purdy hard but they just need to be broken in. It’s compact and looks dope. Doesn’t feel too light and cheap or too heavy and out dated. Very durable. Connects via usb. Plug and play all day. If you travel bring it with you on the plane and plug it up to your laptop and you’re back at it. If you’re looking to run it as your main drum pad tho in a home studio setup drop the additional $100 and buy the studio MPD. This is definitely for travel purposes

Controller midi fantastico..
Merita comunque 5 stelle.
