Horrible printer
Horrible printer. It eats up the ink and does not allow you to use any other ink but the expensive Epson ink cartridges. DO NOT DO ANY UPDATES. Once I allowed the update, I could not use the ink cartridges purchased on Amazon I had just installed. If you want to find a home printer that isn't expensive...this is not the one!!! It also did not allow me to print in black, even though I had a full black cartridge in. I was low on yellow and would not print anything. Just stayed stuck on the screen to replace ink. What a waste of money and time!

There are worse printers for sure.....
Does what it is supposed to. Only drawback is that it goes through the ink pretty fast. My wife and I don't print a whole lot. This is just for home use and we have already had to replace the ink once. Not impressed.....However, print quality, especially color printing is pretty good for a cheaper printer. It is also fairly quiet. Setup was easy and quick. It is also in another room from the router and wireless connectivity is solid.

Bare-Bone Printer | Only Offers A Single Page Scan
My previous Epson printer decided it was time to quit after years of reliably working. It was old, but it was fast at printing, and I could feed multiple pages for scanning. Albeit my world revolves around digital content, so printing is not on top of my list other than really documents, but the few times a year I need a printer and not having one really is a pain hence, I picked up this Epson on sale…PRINTINGFor the money, the printer is great for printing documents. The font print is clear and well defined. Regarding graphics, I've only printed a few pages with graphics. The graphics were decent, but then again, I was printing on 20 lb. paper and the graphics were from a website receipt. It common for web developers to make file sizes smaller to speed load times and take up less space so issue could be the website file size. It’s not really a biggie for me.SCANNINGThe unit only scans one page at a time. In other words, there is no feeder to feed multiple pages to scan automatically one after another. I knew this when I got it, but I will deal with it because I didn’t want to drop another $400+ for a printer that I will hardly use.SETUPEasy, it’s a wireless printer and has an intuitive app…CONCLUSIONOverall, it’s a decent printer, but it’s a bare-bone printer that only offers a single page scan (no multi-page feeder) option. If this is what you're looking for, you found it. You won't be disappointed.

User friendly!
Easy to set up, easy to use, nice smooth operation and good quality printing, software is outstanding. This printer is user friendly with the ink supply, you can easily use after market, unlike most popular brands. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you.

MEH
I Bought this for my art class room in order to print reference photos for students and myself. I have an Epson at home that is maybe a step or two above this one so I thought for sure this would be ok. I do not use it much because this printer runs out of ink extremely fast. I have already replaced the cartridges in this printer 3 times since September, and feel have not used it 3 replacements worth of printing. Additionally, I find the complete replacing of the cartridge a bit wasteful, and wish there were a way to refill the cartridge instead of replacing it. Also, print images are meh. I would not recommend buying this one unless you have a build up stock in Epson ink cartridges.

Simple setup. Flatbed scanner, great print quality!
We had an Epson that lasted eight years. So much printing that the print head actually wore out. We bought an HP Deskjet to replace it. Eleven months nightmare. Trashed the new HP this morning. This XP4200 setup was easy and connecting it to my Android took under three minutes. Easy instructions. Epson stuck with a good thing and it works. Very happy with Epson as usual.Total time from box to printing was forty five minutes. That's excellent!Note: I never use off brand cartridges. A few have posted about this printer using only Epson ink or requiring a Firmware update for off brand cartridges. I never used off brand with our old Epson and for eight years it had no issues other than in the last few months of that eight years the print head was worn out. It was very similar to this one and three Masters Degrees were earned by our children and that printer was a workhorse!!
