This kid is the bee's knees of climbing trees. Definitely recommend being very careful with anybody attempting to do this without training because one wrong step and you're either in the hospital or dead. If you're going to try it make sure you choose a good quality product such as these and practice practice practice! Always have safety harness gear on the concept stain the resistance to keep you from falling more than a few feet at most. Never cheap out on your gear.

Poorly made product. The spike actually broke could have been very dangerous

For being a upgraded setup it has absolutely no instructions. Most of it I can figure out but the lanyard is like nothing I've ever seen. Nobody sells one even similar. I think I may have figured it out but how safe is may have when that's the only thing to keep you from falling 30 or 40 feet or more.

Definitely not for doing any kind of serious tree work. The safety rope is not a flip line which you need to get up the tree. The spikes don’t point out far enough for thick bark trees. Uncomfortable. When in a tree you better trust your gear

This is a nice starter set, but it isn’t everything you are going to need. The belt is nice because it is feels secure, is adjustable, but doesn’t rub. The spikes work well, but if you don’t know what you are doing, you need to be very careful, and cautious. This is just basic gear, you need a lot more safety equipment if you plan to go up to any real height.

They are made with pot metal and will snap I climbed 3 trees and the right leg snnaped if I had been using the flip rope that came with the set it would have been a fatal fall.Do not buy these
