Not the correct size. Too small.
I have been a cosmetologist for over 40 years and I have given a LOT of perms. I bought these to use at home and they are not the same size that they are supposed to be. They are smaller than the rods in the salon. They are just a little bit smaller but when you're doing a perm on natural curl to "tame" it and remove the frizz you don't want a smaller rod. I suggest you get them from a beauty supply store. It seems like the purple ones are the main ones. I also had a few bands break and the caps were breaking as well.

The product seems solid, but I could not get the hang of it. I broke the elastic band on quite a few.

The product worked as indicated, but the constant re-rolling of rods that just popped off mid perm did affect the texture of some of my curls. It's a quality issue, so buyer beware. As indicated in the picture, these are the purple rods that broke off during different parts of the perming process and needed to be re rolled.
