These Which recommended products actually work. They appear well made and reasonably stylish. Big benefit is that they not only work well, but are easy to fill, have considerable capacity for salt crystals / peppercorns and also not messy due to the fact that they store in a position where the milling output is uppermost. You can effectively adjust the fineness of the Millings too. They are the best Salt and Pepper Mills I have ever owned, not cheap but sensibly priced given that they operate so well. Very pleased.

These have a really nice feel to the touch, with a nice but adjustable milling size. These were cheaper here than anywhere else I’ve seen them. My only slight negative is that the filling plug underneath has a very small range of movement. Which is great for easy access, but also once loosened in normal daily use, leaving a mound of jettisoned peppercorns when we lifted the mill for use. But to be fair this has only happened once, just a bit of a surprise at the time.

Beautiful on the table and able to grind the Salt to a fine powder. Easy to adjust the grind size. Only issue I found is the silver top traps the grinds and so sometimes a lump falls out.

These certainly look good, though the salt does crust over we find and very occasionally you have to knock it off. Now this is more than likely our own fault because these sit on the side in the kitchen all the time so steam from cooking will obviously affect them. However, the salt and pepper mills we had before (same twist style function) did not get the same issues as they had the salt coming out the bottom so when not in use the part that the salt comes out was sitting on the counter top so no steam can get to them. Keep these in the dining room then there should be no issues. Other than the dampness issue we have, the actual items work well and grind the salt and pepper as you would like it to being adjustable. They are also solid quality feel items.

Works well, easy to fill. No messy salt and pepper grains left on the cupboard shelf and on the table surface after meals.

Joseph Joseph should be ashamed of themselves. Whilst the seat look great, and are easy to fill, they simply work very very badly. Two BIG issues: 1) Salt clogs up in a fine powder all around the grinder and exit, and every so often falls out in large clumps of fine salt all over your food, ruining it. 2) The grind settings simply do NOT work. You twist it down into place and then somehow are supposed to know which three twist amongst the the 9 or 10 twists you made to get it in place adjust the grind setting. Stupid, basic, bad design. High price for bad but elegant design.

Well made, but messy! The mess isn’t under the grinder but now all over the table top.

These are very aesthetically pleasing salt and pepper grinders. I was sick of our electronic ones leaving a puddle of salt and pepper on the table when set down so I was specifically looking for manual grinders that grind from the top. This design also doesn’t allow dust to settle onto the top grinder since it is covered. They are build nicely. Grind pretty finely. They hold a large amount of salt and peppercorns. To grind by turning the upper half, works well and turns smoothly and easily. Very pleased with the value of this item.

Pepermolen werkt perfect. Zoutmolen niet optimaal. Het lijkt net of het zout blijft hangen.
