Yes, BUT it will lack a lot of the 'charm' that online minecraft offers. (I guess) You might need the internet to download the dlc (costumes) but the core of the game itself is entirely intact for offline play. That said, Minecraft is updated A LOT and would likely benefit from online in many aspects, including- but not limited to- burning down friends houses with lava.
