Through the years, I have purchased 5 pairs of these jeans, and keep coming back to these Levi's because of their quality and durability.The color is rich and dark when new, and hold their color well even after numerous washes. I have a pair that I wear daily, and my work takes me out in the field lifting heavy equipment for photography and video production. I have had no issues with mobility or durability. When I need to, I can style these to go with a night out, and it goes well with just about anything I wear.These are definitely one of my favorite pairs of jeans - just buy them at the right size for you and you won't regret it!

I've reached the age where I know what I like and don't want to waste time looking for an alternative, I needed new jeans so I got the same 511 style I already had in a different colour. Perfect fit, flattering, good quality and feel, nice slight stretch.

We went to the store to buy my husband new levis, the cost was $88.-$99 I remember the last time I bought Levi jeans for him they were $59-69, so I was shocked to see the big increase . Anyway the store did not carry his size. So I came on Amazon and found his size and the jeans he likes, the 511's, at a better cost. Now these 511 are the jeans he wears and he had a few of them. The difference from the past purchase of 511 from a box store was those fit him better then the ones we just bought on Amazon. Are these priced lower cause they may be mis fits in a small way? or is Levi's having a different manufactor make them. I dont know.....But the legs have a looser fit...not fitting the way slim fits. The waist, hip area fit perfectly , so he will keep them in hopes after a few more washes the legs shrink down a bit. One star minus due to the looser leg pant fit.

I normally wear 514's, which I like a lot, but these are a bit trimmer in the thigh, which is great. 514's look great on me right out of the wash/dry, but once I've been wearing them and bending around, they look a bit baggy under the butt. These 511's fit better.It's important to know that, for both 514 and 511's, different colors have different elastic content. The 1% elastic is less stretchy, but more durable. The 2% is more stretch, and fits my legs better (in both the 511 and 514), but likely won't wear quite a long as a color that uses 1%. Check the details when you select color; details are NOT the same when you move from color to color. For me, I'm buying 2% and just recognizing that they won't last quite as long.

I got these in 2 colors for my brother in law. They fit great, the waist was true to size and had some stretch. The length was good to and the quality of the fabric is what he loved. Super comfy he said.

after getting a pair last year while on a levis-on-sale spree I found these. at first I wasnt sure of "cali-black" but the fit was on point - probably the best fit of the inconsistent 511 line (waist is accurate, not a ton of extra, baggy space up front that just makes me feel fat) and after a couple of months of washes and wears the color is still consistent (expect some fade) and the sizing still accurate.

I wear them for a week between washing and they do not get dirty. As well, they are slightly larger in the cuff and still are a slim fit. Very robust construction and strong kipper. Will likely last a very long time and still look good.

I like the overall consistency in Levi jeans. I am tall and slim and the 511's fit me very well. The additional stretch material make this very comfortable. On the downside, I am puzzled why 511's are not consistently offered in the 32 x 32 size. I have worn this size for decades and it's hit and miss going to 31 x 32 or 33 x 32.
