Replacement Part for Heat-N-Glow 8000trc
I replaced the pilot assembly on my 1999 Heat-N-Glo 8000trc gas fireplace. This item is a plug and play. I was able to replace the pilot assembly without disconnecting any gas lines, although I did shut the gas off. For the customer who said in her review that the gas line was crimped on her item, the line that she was referring to was not a gas line. The thermopile does connect with a copper tube, and is crimped on purpose so that you don't try to connect that part to gas. The thermopile copper tube was crimped on my assembly too. The pilot line (silver aluminum line) is the only gas line in this assembly. I did seal the bracket holes that the lines run through with the supplied gaskets and some Permatex 81630 Ultra Red High Temperature Gasket Maker (bought on Amazon). After a few bloody knuckles, I soap tested the pilot connection and all gas connections. Works like a charm. Pilot has been running for a week and the fireplace starts up with the flip of a switch each time. I did not need to adjust the pilot flame, but it is only the turn of a screw if need be.

Heat-n-glo thermopile and pilot assembly replacement
Installed on a Heat-N-Glo 6000TRB nat gas insert fireplace that had a failing thermopile. Takes a little bit of time to access the old pilot assembly but once this new one was installed the fireplace works like a charm. Saved 3x the cost for a local service company to do the same work.

Fixed my issue (gas valve shutting 30-60s after turning on fireplace)
Fixed my issue (gas valve shutting 30-60s after turning on fireplace). Couldn’t tell whether it was the pilot no longer being strong enough, the thermocouple, or thermopile, so replaced the whole assembly. Not difficult and exact fit for my heatilator ND4842.

Perfect OEM Replacement
This item was a perfect fit, match and functions perfect as a replacement for my Heatilator natural gas fire place. My flame started going out intermittently which usually means the Thermopile (flame sensor) is starting to fail. Since the pilot light fixture and the thermo couple were all original, it is best to replace all while you have it apart. Hopefully, I don't need to replace for several years but this is a great fit. I went to three fire place stores in town, one didn't carry it, one was out of stock, and the last wouldn't sell it to me (they only want to do service work) so my options where limited.

let there be fire
Kinda of a pain to install, but not difficult. Just some reaching around in the fireplace and you are good to go!

Perfect Replacement Part
Just what I needed to fix a troublesome pilot light. It was a pain to install at least on my Heatilator FP so be warned. I basically had to dismantle the firebox to get at it. I removed the SIT valve assembly to reach the inlet ports since there is very little room under the box to unscrew them with a box wrench. Got a lot of knuckle scratches before I realized that was the way to go. Probably saved a bunch of $ on labor so I’m satisfied
