Finally RPG Figures Not Putting a Weapon in Your Face
Like: Two-sided printing, included bases, variety, poses not overtly threatening.Dislike: Hmmm... nothing really.Especially great for: NPC encounters. Stand-ins for player characters when not in combat.Done right--to my way of thinking--RPG's have a little combat and a lot of role playing. Many role playing interactions would--in real life--be substantially compromised by a threatening weapon. The "normals" or "mundanes" met would not be brandishing hardware. Unfortunately, most miniatures have weapons as their most prominent feature. Such miniatures get in the way of the desired role playing mood.I really wish that more miniature providers would Follow the "Firefly" lead and provide a pair of minis (or more) fore each character. One would be in a combative pose, the other(s) in a more usual, less threatening, more reasonable configuration. I can dream, can't I?

Perfect for the thrifty, lazy GM
Pros:-The art is great. Front and back of each piece is illustrated.-Diverse set of pieces, many different kinds of monsters, npcs/pcs.-The plastic is pretty solid, difficult to bend/damage.-Assembly is easy. Pieces can be easily switched in and out of bases.-They take up little room to store.Cons:-Dragons, giants, and similarly sized creatures are a bit small, would have liked those pieces to be larger.-No explicitly POC npc/pc pieces.-Again, really happy with the selection of monsters in this pack, but there's no mimic piece (unless it is REALLY well disguised).Overall, a great set. Worth the price. I use card sleeves to keep them separate/organized.

Flimsy material but waves in base make up for it
The actual material is just flimsy plastic. The bases however have a wavy insert that, while hard for assembly, makes the plastic stand on its own
