Teacher Supervision and Evaluation

You will not be disappointed!
Nolan and Hoover's text on teacher Supervision and Evaluation is simply outstanding. It goes over, in great detail and in conjunction with sample/model artifacts, how to give different types of feedback to different types of teachers. It is both practical and well studied. While not as popularized as Marzano or Danielson, the ideas discussed here are just as powerful. I could not imagine any instructional coach or administrator being disappointed with this text. There is so much to work with and make one's own. Highly recommended.

Average textbook, Meh...
It's a text book. No great insights. mediocre research and information. Felt more like a professor's first draft of his/her Doctoral Dissertation than a meaningful thought provoking book that inspires you to great leadership. Left responding, "well that was a waste!"

Required course reading
Fair. All of the interactive and thought provoking exercises were barely used by course facilitator. No collegiate discourse beyond my personal reflections on my experience.

This book is great for any administrator or university that train's administrators
This book is great for any administrator or university that train's administrators. This book is great to use along side the danielson framework to enhance instruction and professional development in any district or work place.

Great Service from Amazon but boring book.
This book was a class requirement, but it is extremely boring and a difficult read. Would not recommend unless it is required by a professor.
