HP501A Black Toner Cartridge | Works with HP Color LaserJet 3600, 3800, CP3505 Series | Q6470A

Like most of you out there, I think toner is too damned expensive. Recently, I ordered generic "refurbished" toner cartridges for my HP 3550 color laserjet. What a bad move. Color isn't consistent with non-HP cartridges and two of the four leaked toner powder all over the inside of my printer causing a total mess. Do yourself a favor and stick to brand new HP supplies for your HP printer. You'll be glad you did! Consistent output and high quality images don't happen by accident.

Amazon shipped in a couple of days. Usually they ship in one day, I don't know why this did not happen. This is the cheapest price ($119 + FREE SHIPPING) I could find for a GENUINE HP Q6470A (501A) toner cartridge. It is the latest packaging, etc. so I do not think it has been sitting around on someone's shelf for years. I have not tried it yet but I anticipate no problems. My color cartridges have lots of life left, only the black is running low on toner. With the long life I have experienced (this is a work group printer used at home) I did not want to take a chance on refilled cartridges (and I have read of horror stories on the web about refills), hence I wanted a BRAND NEW HP CARTRIDGE and this is it (Plus my better half has a 3600 for her work activities at home and can use this also). I don't don't know why another reviewer claimed refilled cartridges, this one is NOT refilled, it is genuine HP NEW product.

The item fit my printer and worked like it suppose to. I think it is misleading from the seller to show the genuine HP cartidge picture because that is NOT what you are getting. You are getting a refurbished cartridge. It does say it in his description when you read on. Would I buy it again would depend on how long this one will last compare to the real thing.

This item, while relatively straight forward, is superior to many of the toners being offered for sale here on Amazon as well as other places. Why? Because it’s original and isn’t remanufactured. I’m all for recycling, protecting the environment, etc., but when you buy this OEM product you’re (a) getting a FULL cartridge of toner, and (b) the toner color acts like it is supposed to and doesn’t bleed or smear all over your printed pages. If you’re looking to save a buck, avoid this one and buy a remanufactured toner cartridge. If you’re looking for crisp and dark print on the page that doesn’t smear, and lasts more than a couple of reams of paper, choose this one at the higher price. You’ll be money ahead in the long run.

It's old, but it works. I was a bit concerned when the box arrived. The packaging was a bit dog eared and faded, as if it had been sitting next to a printer for years. But the ink and print quality is great.

This ink cartridge would not load correctly on the first 4 tries. Finally on the 5th try it was recognized as a "Genuine HP" cartridge. However it leaked blobs of ink on the prints and put a gray haze across the entire sheet. I called customer service at Tonerize who was very responsive and promised a refund.No problem, stuff happens. However I take serious issue with the title of the item on Amazon which is listed as: "Genuine HP cartridge in Retail Packaging"This is the exact same heading as the NEW cartridge which is what I wanted. I made the mistake of not scrolling down to the fine print where it said refurbished.I believe it is misleading to have the exact same product heading for a new and refurbished item. So be aware (I wasn't)

Product is used for a HP 3600 LaserJet Printer. This toner is expensive but worth it to avoid problems with refurbished cartridges and non-conforming toner for the printer.
