Remove the cushioned cover to install the battery and you are good to go.I was measuring airspeed below 15mph, this little unit did a great job.I used this to balance my HVAC system to assure my airflow was evenly distributed throughout the home.It’s nice that it also measures air temperature.

I was surprised by its sensitivity, it starts working from a low wind gust. Looks professional. (Maybe the price is a bit high for such a small device, but overall it's reasonable)

Low end sensitivity is not as good as on some more expensive instruments, but once you are over 4 or 5 knots, it seems to work well enough. The size is very small. It's functions are basic. It's pretty easy to use. Battery changes require no tools other than a coin. It really would benefit from a small hard case to protect the sensor fan from being broken while it is being stored in a pocket or a bag. The price was fantastic. I paid 4 times as much for a more complicated instrument that died from the same fragility in the fan sensor. the price of this whole unit was less than the price of the replacement part for the other one. I will use these from now on & just consider them to be disposable. The price lets me do that.

It does not work, I have even put in a different battery and it will not come on…Instructions were not good and didn’t instruct how to put battery in.

Very amazing.. Light and fits perfectly in your hand.. After turning it on you have to turn it back off to start to get the temp to an accurate reading.. To put in the battery you take off the orange protective cover. Very well made and is exactly what I need!

Does not come with battery, so have to order that as well

Cool handy device, was able to tell when blower fan was going bad!
