Logitech MK850 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo

I bought this to replace the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500, as I do a lot of home working. Switching between my work laptop, home laptop and home desktop on my small desk was a pain. No longer, with the MK850 switching is a breeze. This keyboard and mouse can pair via Bluetooth or Unifying receiver to up to 3 devices. Then swapping between paired devices is as simple as pressing one the white keys numbered 1-3, and clicking a button on the side of the mouse to cycle between 1, 2 and 3. The combo comes with a single Unifying receiver. I put this receiver into my home desktop, I paired to my laptop using Bluetooth and my work laptop using a Unifying receiver I have with my older Performance MX mouse (approx 2014). The pairing process was smooth and seamless for the more modern machines. I did try to use Bluetooth for the work laptop but the one I had at the time was older with Window 7 and did not support the enhanced bluetooth needed for these devices. I have a new work laptop now so could try bluetooth with that but it works great with the receiver still in it so I'm going to leave it alone. For the windows 7 machine which had the Setpoint software on it, I had to go into the Unifying software to pair the mouse and keyboard. I had trouble with this the first attempt but it worked fine the next time I tried. However there is a workaround using the unifying receiver if you have trouble pairing with a particular machine, which is to plug the receiver into a different machine, and pair to that using the Options software, then just plug it back in the original machine! The work laptop with its unifying receiver is also still paired with this older mouse that I keep in the laptop case. So when I'm at work I switch on that mouse and it works perfectly as it did. When I'm at home I leave that mouse in the bag and click the device button on the new mouse. It all works very smoothly. If you use the new Logitech Options software (replacement for the older Setpoint software) on all your devices you can configure something called Flow which will seamlessly switch mouse and keyboard between your devices as you move your mouse cursor off one screen onto the other! I haven't tried that yet as I don't have admin rights to my work laptop so I can't install Options on that. Note that you don't need Options to use these peripherals. The keyboard in this set is the K850. I don't know if this can be purchased separately. It has a better more positive action than the MX 5500. With that, many keys would stick a little if you strike them at the corner. This does not happen with the K850 When new it feels quite "rubbery", a very damped travel, and is very quiet. In use however this loosens up considerably and gives the feel similar to many other keyboards of reasonable quality, together with the usual slightly clacky noise you get from most keyboards that get heavy use. It's not a particularly noisy keyboard by any means, but it is a big contrast between new and virtually silent and worn in. It has a traditional key layout with all the function, control and cursor keys in the "right place" for a UK keyboard. The "windows key" is labelled the start key as it has a different function on a mac. The keys with different function or mapping on a mac are labelled such, with a line separating their displayed mac function from the windows function. The keyboard has two tilt angles from the folding support legs, 3 if you count "flat" with the legs folded away, which I use. The main keyboard area has a slight curve for ergonomic reasons but to me it just feels like a comfortable "normal keyboard" in use rather than a special ergo one that would need getting used to. The fixed palm shelf is some sort of soft touch textured rubber with a woven fabric texture. It feels nice but I'm sure it will trap dust and debris and will not be easy to clean. The mouse is labelled the M720 and can be purchased separately as the "Triathlon M720". This is a much less sculpted affair than past mice like the MX Revolution, and a bit smaller. It is clearly designed for right handed users but while not ambi, I think left handers could use it without it feeling too awkard. The issue for left handers would be the button placement. It has two programmable thumb buttons which default to browser forward and back. The button behind these is the device switcher. The free spinning ("Hyperfast scrolling") scroll wheel functions like most mouse wheels as a "third button" if you click down on it, and supports side scrolling if you tip the wheel left or right. Behind this is the mechanical switch button to toggle between free spinning and click to click function on the scroll wheel. Gone is the software controlled function of the MX Revolution but you gain the standard third button function in return. I can't comment much on battery life as I've only owned it for 4 weeks now but the manufacturer claims 24 and 36 month life from the mouse and keyboard respectively, from the non-rechargable batteries supplied. 2 x AAA for keyboard and 1 x AA in the mouse. The Options software still reports battery full for both. Certainly far better than the 2-3 weeks of heavy use from the rechargeable Performance MX and the 4-5 weeks from the MX Revolution. In summary I'm extremely happy with this purchase. I wouldn't have bought either separately without the multi-device capability but even without that capability, the keyboard is the best I've owned and the mouse is about as good as the Performance MX.

I have always been a avid fan of Logitech from having their PC speaker back in the day to having their keyboards. So it made sense to buy this MK850 Multi device wireless keyboard & mouse Combo when I needed a input device for my custom built PC, tablet & Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The beauty of this MK850 Combo is that at a press of a button I can switch between all three of my devices seamlessly. Previously I would have needed separate dongles or cables, but with the MK850 there is 1 dongle for the PC and my tablet & Android phone connect via Bluetooth both to the mouse & full size keyboard. The K850 keyboard is very nice to use with a comfortable palm rest, soft tactful keys & has a long battery life. The M720 Triathlon mouse has a contoured feel that fits snugly into your hand. The buttons are well placed & once again have a pleasant feel to them when pressed. I use the keyboard combo for home office work primarily however, the combo does perform adequately when I use it for online gaming.

I'm a product designer/educational writer for a health and wellbeing company. I use my computer every single day so I need something comfortable, good for general use, and wireless. I did a lot of research and settled on this. I usually only buy Logitech stuff because I know they are quality for the price. The first keyboard had a faulty power button, but they replaced the keyboard and it came in two days as it has a two-year warranty. My only complaint is that I wish the buttons did not rub off as quickly. For general use, you won't notice for a good few years. But for me, I use the keyboard every single day and the buttons started wearing after about 9 months of use, but this is mild cosmetic wear, it did not impact performance. The Logitech mouse that comes with the keyboard is brilliant. It's basically a gaming mouse packaged up for office use, it's the best mouse I've had. Just one complaint is that the mouse at this price point should be a soft click. The battery power however is said to last 2-3 years, incredible. I can confirm I used my last one for 9months and the batter power was still around 70% which I thought was incredible. Overall, love the mouse and keyboard. When this breaks or wears out in the next however many years, I will probably just buy the next model. You can't go wrong with this. I got it for £65 in a sale. But for me under £80 is a good deal.

The keyboard and mouse came in good packaging, with batteries included (one AA for the mouse, and two AAA for the keyboard). The keyboard is in UK English layout (that is the one I ordered). Please read through below and consider your own purpose and preferences. Some of what I consider an advantage may not be seen as so from a different point of view. I use the mouse and keyboard for general typing and for programming. I use Windows and Mac (not tested for mac yet). I have had this product for 3 days now. Advantages: - Keyboard has a full numpad and functionality buttons (ins, del, home, end, page up, page dn). - Keyboard has an indicator for when the Caps lock button is on. - Keyboard buttons are firm and do have a smooth "press" feel to them. The keys are not shallow (like laptop keys), but rather sink in when you press them. (I see this an advantage, you may not). - The keyboard has 3 buttons that are dedicated to switch between 3 devices. I have not used this functionality yet, but definitely useful as I use a work computer and 2 personal computers. - The mouse has a button (next to your thumb) dedicated to switch between devices. Each time you click the button, it switches to another device. It also shows you if you are connected to device 1, 2 or 3 via illuminating numbers on the mouse. - The mouse is slightly large in size and is comfortable to use. I prefer large mice than smaller ones. Only larger devices I have used before are technical ergonomic mice that are ordered specially. - The mouse click does have a sound and feel. I see this as an advantage. Unlike other mice that are extra smooth and do not make any sound or have minimal click response. - The mouse has 3 customizable buttons (next to your thumb rest) that you can use for almost anything! this is a great functionality that was not in the product description (at least I did not see it). I have set one to copy and the other to paste. I have always been looking for a way to copy/paste simply with the mouse (like in Linux). It is very easy to customize and change the mouse settings using the software (installs automatically on Windows 10). Disadvantages: - No indicator for when Num lock is on. - The keyboard is about 45cm X 15cm. The width is slightly big (not too much). In order to use keyboard and mouse, my mouse arm needs to be away from my body (slightly less ergonomic). - No automatic power saving option that is available in other keyboard and mouse sets. To consider: - The keyboard has a rest pad at the bottom (as seen in the photos). You may or may not like this. - The scroll of the mouse is like a wheel. Unlike other mice (that I am used to) that rotate in discrete manner and stop. This scroll rotates like a free wheel continuously until you stop it (think of spinning the wheel of a toy car). Overall, a very good set I would recommend. I had bought a set last week (around £20) and decided to replace immediately with this one.

I don't normally write product reviews, but in this case I feel very compelled into writing one. First of all, it's a very beautifully made product. Looks and feels expensive and does it what it's meant to do. Quality product through and through. However, two things really killed it for me: 1. This product comes with a keyboard and a mouse. You would have thought they would work together? Wrong! When you switch between two PCs, you'll have to switch the keyboard and the mouse, separately! How annoying is that? Who would want to use mouse on one PC while typing on another? Why wouldn't they just make the keyboard and mouse switch at the same time, with one button? It is beyond me. Don't get it. 2. This product is not a low end keyboard mouse combo. There are some really nice things you can do with it. However, there is an extreme lack of information on what you can do with this product. I've had to browse through the internet and youtube to see how to set them up. The product comes with a Unifying dongle but there is no way you will know what it means and what you can do with it unless you look it up extensively on the web. Unbelievable. 3. The switch on the mouse is very inconvenient. On the keyboard there are three buttons. You press button 1, the keyboard switches to PC 1; button 2 for PC 2; button 3 for Pc 3. Nice and simple, and intuitive. However, on the mouse, although there are also 3 device buttons, they don't work in the same way as the 3 device buttons do on the keyboard. You have to press button 3 on the mouse to SEQUENTIALLY switch between the PCs! For instance, when I am on PC 2 and want to switch to PC 1, I can't just press button 1. Instead I have to press the switch button (button 3) three times to go PC2 -> PC3 -> PC1! This control is just anti human.

When my old Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 keyboard died after 14 years of faithful service I spent quite some time looking at options for its successor. At the moment I am working from home, like many fortunate enough to be in a position to do that, and I am constantly switching between 3 different devices - 2 work laptops and my own. I choose this to simplify my keyboard-hopping life and it has been perfect for this. The Logitech Flow feature, which requires installing the Logitech Options software on each device, allows me to simply move my mouse off one edge of a screen and it appears on the corresponding edge of the screen of a completely different computer. It can optionally switch both keyboard and mouse or just mouse, and using the button selectors I can override the active system on one or both devices so the keyboard is controlling one computer and the mouse another. It works seemlessly with Mac and Windows, and using the Logitech USB receiver and Bluetooth on different devices. I find the keyboard comfortable and tactile to type on, perhaps a little noisier than I expected but it is far from the clackety-clack of the old IBM Model-M keyboards. The mouse is also comfortable but is handed, so if you like to use your mouse with your left hand you might be less happy. I am very happy and impressed with the set. It is an expensive option, but if it lasts as a long as my previous keyboard then I view it as a worthwhile investment.

I love these and they tend to last 2 years under intensive use and being subjected to food and drink! Easy to switch between devices so great if you have three devices on your desk and only one one keyboard and mouse.

Dopo un paio di mesi di utilizzo devo dire che è veramente una buona tastiera e mouse, unico difetto del mouse riguarda la rotella che quando lasciata in rotazione libera a volte si muove da sola per via del proprio peso non bilanciato. Con un po' di manualità è facile correggere questo difetto.
