Hardly changed in 45 years
I bought this to replace the broken and leaking one in my 45 year old campervan.Apart from the addition of locking catches, this is the same as the 45 year old version and a straight swap - I had expected to maybe adjust the aperture size a little but it was a perfect fit. A good example of if you get it right there is no need to change it.There were no screws with the replacement so I used the originals, these haven't gone rusty.Note: If you are buying this to add a new skylight (rather than replace) you will need to make a template to use to cut the hole. This is easy to do by drawing around the unit, noting which way round they fit, so you don't cut the hole too big.

Prepare plastic surface well for bonding
Make sure you sand/key the plastic before attempting to seal it. I used sikaflex and Butyl tape and both did not bond fully and I still had leaks after 2 attempts. Found a YouTube video where someone had the same issues with these types of product, It's something which is sprayed on them during manufacturing process, according to that? Third time lucky hopefully!

Top item at a great price
Thank goodness this arrived as we had a great big hole in the roof of our caravan! It was exactly the same as the old one looks really good and the old one didn’t have a fly net on it so I’m so pleased great price under £50 thank you very much Oh yes and my partner fitted it and he’s really rubbish at DIY so it’s very easy to fit just for screws take the old one out but the new one back in!

Budget price and versatile.
Not as expensive as other similar items and this is reflected in the quality. Bought this for my summerhouse roof. It was just deep enough to fit through the roof and screw up through the plaster board from inside. It’s opening system gives you choices as it can be fully lifted, lilted back, forward and left/right. It never fully closes so it gives ventilation without letting in rain. It has a fly screen that is hinged along one side and drops down to access the handles to open/ close the roof. The roof panel is translucent, let’s in light but you can’t see through it. .

Only needed parts of it.
Only needed the lid, arms and fly screen but only able to buy the complete unit. Super easy to unscrew the required parts and fit to my caravan.

Took the old ones out and fitted these two straight back in - no problems. Sealed up and now solid and waterproof.
