Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin 425g 3 Pack

Great product, but disappointing all three cans arrived damaged/dented

I have bought this Libby's canned pumpkin before to give to my two terriers along with their raw food diet. This was a really good value purchase and my dogs continue to enjoy it added to their dinners. It is especially good if they ever get uspet stomachs, when just a good dessert spoonful instead of their usual meal really works to settle everything down perfectly. I usually divide each tin into smaller portions of a couple of spoonfuls popped into bags, and it freezes perfectly. This is actually described as Pure Pumpkin PIE FILLING in the listing but is infact just Pure Pumpkin so no worries that it's full of added sugar etc. It is really difficult to source and despite having to buy it through Amazon, this is actually cheaper than Tesco's advertise it (although I've never found it to buy locally at all) I am sure you could make a fabulous Pumpkin Pie with this lovely product and it certainly does taste delicious, but I've never made one myself.Maybe next time.

My dog has from time to time a problem with her nether region. Some foods upset her tummy and meant days of horrible clearing up to do. After visits to the vet for pricey remedies and expensive tests revealing nothing specific I read online about someone who had the same problem from time to time with their pooch and recommended using this fully natrual product. Depending on the dog size they said a few spoonfuls at mealtime will help settle the doggies tum. I have tried this and for my dog at least there are no more expensive visits to the vets. Just a few spoons of this on the normal food and my doggies tummy was back to normal. I dont know about making pumpkin pie as I am no good with any of that but my pooch says thanks!

There isn't much to say about this other than what's already been said - it's great in pies, and other baked goods, and in pumpkin fudge. The important thing about this, which I think should be reiterated - Amazon mislabeled this. It's not 'pumpkin pie filling', it is what is actually in the picture. Pumpkin pie filling in cans does exist and it's revolting. This is the real thing - 100% solid-pack pumpkin puree that you can make your own pie filling (or whatever) with. Enjoy!

Bought previously used for my dogs food needed pure pumpkin which it is, ok to use for dogs and i imagine great if wanted to make a pie with it

My dog will eat his own faeces, given the chance! It's not something anyone likes to admit but it's much more common than you'd think and is considered 'normal'...by dogs anyway, lol. (The clinical term for it is 'Coprophagia' by the way). I put a dessertspoonful of this pure pumpkin on his (dry) food twice a day and it works. He obviously likes it too because he will lick the spoon! Funnily enough, there's a great recipe for pumpkin pie on the tin too! (Although it's a common grocery item in America, Amazon is the only place I have found where I can buy it here).

I love this pumpkin. I used to buy it when I lived in the U.S. I use it for pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice-cream, pumpkin bread, and pumpkin nut muffins. I prefer this plain pumpkin to the spiced pumpkin because I can add my own spices and increase some if I wish. Also, it is less expensive than the spiced pumpkin. There is a recipe on the can for pumpkin pie. It is simple to make and a very good recipe. I strongly recommend this product.

Trying to find a food grade pumpkin in the UK outside of Halloween is nearly impossible! Even if I did, sometimes doing all the work of cutting, scraping, baking and preparing the pumpkin meat to cook with just takes too long. This way I have the pumpkin meat ready on hand and can use it in all the ways I want to. I've always used Libby's, so it is a brand I feel comfortable with. This pumpkin has no additional flavorings or spices in it (it is not the pumpkin pie filling).

This is the best pumpkin for pies and other desserts, such as pumpkin cheesecake.

I was extremely dissapointed to find that my 3 pumpkin puré tins expiry date is just 1 month away. Dec 2022. What a con.
