Solid performer. Excellent value.
This review is regarding the REOLINK "TrackMix PoE Grey Dual-Lens PTZ Security Camera 6X Hybrid Zoom | 4K 355° Pan & 90° Tilt Auto Tracking" power over ethernet camera. The camera itself is well built. The housing and mount plate are metal and should stand up to sunshine and weather. The camera provides a clear image that, when mounted about 10ft (305cm) above ground level, makes license plates readable out to about 125ft (~40m). Motion tracking works well and audio quality is decent. I've read in other comments that the plastic fades with time. I have other Track Mix POE versions that have a plastic housing and, because I paint the housings the same color as the surface to which they are mounted, have not found this to be a problem. Those have been in operation since the Track Mix POE was first introduced and have been totally trouble free. These are installed in exposed locations that receive intense sunlight and are exposed to temperatures from about -25C to +40C. They have proved reliable and trouble-free under those conditions. These cameras do not require any sort of subscription in order to be accessed remotely from the internet. All functionality is enabled out-of-the-box and likewise not subject to a subscription in order to be enabled. These are an excellent value, particularly when considering what you get for the price. I don't hesitate to recommend this camera.

Amazing outdoor camera!!!
I’ve had this camera covering my driveway and it’s easily one of the best security cameras I’ve used. The dual-lens setup is genuinely useful. You get the full wide view while the second lens gives you a closer view of the person or vehicle being tracked. The camera can pan and tilt to follow the subject rather than just recording them as they move out of frame. Tip for anyone using Home Assistant: this integrates extremely well. You can bring the camera feeds into your dashboard, use the person/vehicle/pet detection as triggers for automations, control PTZ functions, and use saved PTZ positions. I have mine incorporated into my Home Assistant security setup and that flexibility is a big reason I like the PoE version. One setup tip I wish I knew earlier: calibrate the PTZ after installation. If your presets aren’t returning exactly where you expect, run the PTZ calibration before assuming something is wrong with the camera. That has resolved inaccurate preset positioning for other TrackMix users as well. Picture quality is excellent, tracking works well, and PoE means one Ethernet cable handles the connection and power. If you’re already running a local security system or Home Assistant, this is an especially good choice. 5 stars. Excellent camera, but it’s the integration and flexibility that really make it worth it.

highly recommended. i wouldn't hesitate to use this brand again.
just installed an 8 camera reolink system. i will be brief, and i write this as someone who has installed a lot of camera systems: 1. these are much less expensive than prior systems i've installed. for the function? it's a small fraction. 2. they are very easy to activate - but note, you do need to scan the QR code. I added them to the app first, then the nvr. 3. from time to time the nvr glitches: the picture on the camera stays in IR mode while in the app it is color. power cycling doesn't fix it, but going in and changing the camera from color mode to (I forget what) and back does. 4. the AI function of these things if flat out creepy, but very effective. highly recommended.

Honest review though I'm happy with it!
To be clear, my initial use case here is to monitor our living area and hallways to see which dog(s) is creating "messes" so we can train accordingly. So, I don't have it outdoors yet, though I'll move it there once we're done with this temporary assignment. It's a good test of the camera's auto-tracking capability though. To explain, my dogs live about 85% of their life on the living room couch. So, I have it pointing there with the tracking set to follow animals (not motion, humans, or vehicles). So, if/when one leaves the couch for one of 4 regular "mess" locations, it will track them, and I know which to deal with. Simple, but many cameras couldn't do it, or it would take 3 different cameras to do it in my home layout. The mechanical tracking is fairly decent. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 (hence the rating above) because it does a great job of tracking a MOVING dog. I trick it a bit since I have TWO dogs though. If only one is up, it's on them though. When both are up, it gets interesting. This is where I like the zoomed in and wide view capability. I can most likely see both with that as long as they don't stray too far from each other. So, it's doing that job nicely and manages the zoom level well. Ideally, we'd like to use digital first and then mechanical. I'm not AS happy with the digital tracking because it feels jittery. Video quality is a bit lower on the zoomed image with the digital tracking (which is to be expected). My biggest complaint there is the delay between when it gives up on digital tracking for the mechanical, causing a loss of subject and then a quick jump to re-aquire it. So, now, I'm just mechanical tracking first. Image quality is great. The build quality is great. It works great straight out of the box with my Reolink NVR and treats both lenses as a separate feed. It doesn't track me, my wife, or the robot vacuum unless person/vehicle tracking is enabled (so object recognition works well). Overall, I'm very happy with the product. Besides the limmits of digital tracking, my only other gripe (and it's minor) would be the size and build of it. It's solid, but awkward. It can't SIT somewhere, it must be mounted and it will hang a few inches off the wall or about twice as far below a top mount location. So, it stands out a bit. For a dual lense PTZ camera though, it's barely enough to be worth mentioning. I only do so, for people who may need to know. UPDATE: I'll add one more negative to the camera. In my example seen in the photos, I'm using the PTZ camera to monitor my dogs for "accidents" next to the couch or in the hallway to the left of the screen. It does a great job of following the dogs when they head down that hallway, but I didn't want alerts every time they moved on the couch (which is where they spend the majority of their resting time). So I used the detection mask to grey out that area so the camera only sends alerts when they move off the couch and follows them from there. the problem is, it's PTZ and doens't seem to be smart enough to track the excusion mask with the photo, so as the camera moves, the mask moves with it... It's a minor fail, but still a fail.

Great quality camera with tons of features.
This is one crazy nice camera. Dual lenses allow a simultaneous view one standard one zoomed in. Pretty easy to install. Mine is POE so one Ethernet from an injector and it was ready to go. The actual app setup is insane. It instantly found it on my network and one button and it was up and running. Super clear in 4K. Tracking. All the normal camera notifications. Pan tilt and zoom are all great.

Low price equals low quality.
First off, I've been installing cameras since they were all black and white. I have mixed feelings about Reolink. Price wise, they are cheap. And unfortunately , you get what you pay for. So, this trackmix. The picture quality when compared to other brands 4k is acceptable but not great. The dual lens feature works as long as your jot trying to see something that is more than 30 feet away.the second (zoom) lens quality is no better yhan if you simply took the main image and magnified it digitally. I mounted mine 20 feet off the ground and 20 feet from the sidewalk that runs adjacent to my home and it's disapointing. Some background. I have 6 outdoor Reolink cameras and there are a few warnings that you just know. #1 They are not UV stabilized and start turning yellow within a few months. #2 image quality is poorer than other brands (except for the poe3 wide 4k model) Even on the reolink 12k model it's ok at best. #3 You MUST record the camera onto an NVR i use ubiquity as my primary recorder and have a Lorex nvr record as a secondary backup unit. Why? Because if you depend on the cameras internal card to save video IT WILL LET YOU DOWN! I can't tell you how many times i have checked the app for an event only to find that the camera did mot record it! (I generally look at the app first, get the time, and then find the event on my NVR. #4 The built in white LEDS are annoying. I like them another but they are terrible. Either they continuously turn on due to rain or flying insects or they just don't see a person and don't turn on at all, they are completly unreliable. Settings are frustrating. If you crank sensitively to max you get false alarms and the lights keep turning on bothering neighbors or you turn it down a little and it doesn't record events. Lastly people detection works very poorly at might. Doesn't matter if the camera is in night IR mode or mot. It's almost October here. I'm not going to take this down this year but come spring time this is coming down. 3 pictures First shows poor quality in clear mode person is 30 feet directly in front of camera and it looks like a 1080p camera. #2 Reolink states no lag, not true zoom camera is 3 seconds behind main lens #3 shows overall quality with larger image.

Amazing auto track camera with 24/7 recording to nvr without battery charging - great support!
Highly recommend nvr and trackmix cameras. REOlink support is great! They answered all of my pre-sales tech questions (as I wanted poe cameras on their own network directly wired back to the nvr vs flooding wifi) and also wanted to learn more about which camera would be best (they have a lot of options). Things to note: 1. My setup is 5 trackmix cameras, doorbell, network switch, and nvr recording 24/7. 2. The trackmix was best for my use everywhere honestly. It can get a very wide shot but can then track with auto zoom on a subject. 3. On initial setup you will see a lot of phone alerts. This is ok. The first thing to do is remove on each camera the push notifications for "any motion". It was going off all the time when it rained or snow. This helped fix the issue. 4. You will need to dial down each camera sensitivity until you feel the phone alerts are correct. This will include dialing back person, vehicle, or animal settings. I was able to do this each day until I was not being phone spammed. 5. My night videos of people walking in the driveway were blurry. I worked with support and they had me change on each camera the Frame Rate Mode to Constant. This provided a clear video of people walking where I could make out their faces. 6. I also bumped up the bit rate to the max on each camera. Since I'm using the nvr and its hard wired, it was ok to increase the bandwidth - after all the point of the cameras are to work well at night and be able to make out any of events clearly. 7. Dont get alarmed if you look at playback and it doesnt look good. You need to switch to clear mode. 8. Doorbell has worked well and wired this up to existing doorbell wiring without a problem. They have a plug chime that comes with this where you can change the chime ring tones. One note, plug this into the wall during initial setup as I believe it has to be setup this way first then you can unplug and wire it to existing door wiring for power. Hope this helps, but highly recommend the REOlink system! I wanted to share screenshots but Amazon kicked back my first review I tried to post so maybe there is something personal on the screenshots I grabbed that they saw or didnt feel were appropriate.

Still a good choice
I installed the 2 of the Powered/Wifi versions of this same camera 2 years ago albeit this one is purely POE, so no battery or WiFi options. That's fine because those are the biggest sources of camera complaints. The actual camera & options are identical. It took me half the day to run the 100' wire and complete the mounting but that's mostly my many homeowner mistakes - should have used plastic wire hangers rather than powered staple gun. Also should have used shielded wire - cheap wire kinks too easily. On to the camera. Pros: - The PC app has a great multi-camera view. Note that wired connections are suggested since it live-streams from all cameras, which could overwhelm WiFi. - Dual camera setup is no hype. The 2nd camera's 6x optical zoom, that's automatic, really does help recognize figures that it's tracking. -Very clear image. - Lots of setup options. - Allows for "always record". Even with 2 cameras, it holds recording for several days. The Viewing filters allow me to find the activations by type (person, car, animal, other). If I want to see what happened between those activations, I can. Very helpful for times when it didn't activate. With this option on, I know FOR SURE that I won't miss recording a critical moment. It may not track how I'd want, but that's where having 2 cameras come in because the wider one will is about a 110 degree view, which is usually enough. - Allows for IR to always be on so that it detects everything, then the light comes on for activations. This helps for a better image, as well as for letting the subject know they've been noticed. Having the light track them, even better! Cons: - Physical tracking causes it to blur for half a second every time it moves, which is maybe 6 times just tracking someone walking for 20 feet. It re-focuses and re-sets it's exposure. - Older low-tech exposure tech. Doesn't do advanced exposure manipulation you'd need to have any hope of license plate recognition at night. - All ReoLink cameras only support 256GB, even though Amazon description may exaggerate and say 512GB on some. - Lighting options could be more robust. - The IR recording is very grainy. I've had IR capable cameras that are like a black-n-white moving in near total darkness.

Great after 3 years
Setting up cameras usually takes a lot of work but this one was a breeze to set up and use every day. The clarity on the video is so high that you can tell exactly what is going on at all times. Having such clear resolution makes the tracking feature even more impressive because it feels like it has its own mind as it stays with moving targets. It is great because we do not have to constantly pan or tilt anything ourselves since the camera does the heavy lifting for us. We can see every detail in the backyard and there are no blurry shots here! The 4k quality makes such a difference when you look back at recordings or check your phone live. It covers wide areas without any trouble and keeps things crisp even when it is zooming to follow motion around the the house. Knowing that we have such a clear view of our property brings us so much comfort during the day and night as well. The build quality feels very sturdy too which gives me confidence in how long it will stay out in the elements. For anyone who wants sharp video and great motion tracking this is a top tier choice for watching your home!

Affordable and Reliable PTZ
This is my 5th purchase of this particular PTZ model and I've been using them for 3 months - summer/fall - so far with no issues yet. The price ($209 before discount) is a good balance between the convenience of PTZ functionality and the low cost of a fixed model camera. The AI tracking technology is light years ahead of the more expensive PTZ cameras found on Amazon. Reolink seems to have an intellegent software coding team. This camera locks onto pedestrians and tracks their movements accurately, then returns to home base when the activity is over compared to other vendors that have a hard time staying locked on the target or getting confused with stationary cars as a result of poorly written algorithms. Two way audio is good enough to communicate with someone at the door but my cameras are not used for that. You can record a personal message to be played thru the camera if you want. At nights the flashlight turns on when motion is detected which is great to serve as a warning to intruders prowling around but this can be disabled. It switches to infrared automatically in low light. This camera has two lenses and subsequently displays two images on your mobile app; first one is the regular lens and the second is the telephoto 'zoomed' in lens. If you prefer to just see one image, the telephoto image can be switched off from the app. As for recordings, a little patience is required as you need to give it time to load on your mobile app before you can review. Streams from both lenses are recorded. Will update review to say how they performed through the upcoming Canadian winter.

Great camera. Easy to set up.
Setup camera to monitor our driveway for kids doing knock and run aways. First day after install caught them at it. Sample image above. Works well but the deterrence works even better. Very obvious and easy to see it is tracking movement. Simple to set up, just one Cat 6 cable to run for a POE install. Unfortunately we are on a laneway so it doesn't cover everything but the camera is great.
