Derwent 34304 Graphitone Watersoluble Graphite Pencils, Set of 4 Shades (2B-8B), Professional Quality, 34304

Another great product by Derwent. I mainly use graphite sticks for background sketches but these are great and keep my hands clean - whereas the graphite sticks do not. They can be used the same as the sticks to shade the paper - just use the side of the pencil rather than the point. Store well - not messy. Easy to blend in and easy to erase when creating light to the drawing or negative sketching.Good quality product.

These were cool. I love the idea of water color graphite. The only flaw is that it was hard to see the difference in values between the hardness of each pencil. They sort of all looked the same.

Derwent products are always as specified and always very good quality. These graphite pencils are lovely. Add water and they make a wash. Haven't had time yet to play with them. Adds a new possibility to art work.

Very useful, but not much change using 2b and 4b in tone

i love these... water soluble graphite is a dream to me, i only realised they existed when i took an interest in yoann lossels work.

Just a beginner at drawing, but found these great to use like normal solid graphite pencils, but use a wet brush and you can get some nice shading effects. I've always found shading difficult to get looking neat using normal pencils/graphite sticks

the level of solubility is very very good though I don't feel a very big difference between the tonesI expected at least the 8B to be darkerotherwise they are very nice to work with
