Anti-lost Protective Case for Garmin Varia RTL515 Radar Tail Light (Case for RTL515)

Expensive for what it is, but it is priceless to solve the faulty design of the Varia RTL515, i.e. no tether facility. Fits securely to the unit and does not hinder performance in any way. Provides reassurance that your expensive Garmin unit is less likely to end up on the tarmac in a 1000 pieces should it manage to break free from the mount, as it can now be tethered to the saddle rails etc. Very happy with the purchase and feel more relaxed riding now as less chance of losing the unit, and I am not constantly checking it is still there.

Tethers the light to your seat post. A whole lot cheaper than replacing the radar should it come loose or the elastic strap fail.

This tether for the Garmin RTL515 radar fits perfectly and it is a safety back up in case the expensive radar unit should pop out of its mount going over a road bump - plenty of these today! I looped it round the saddle bag mount and I saw no change in radar sensitivity after fitting it. And the tether is not expensive relative to the radar unit. And the charging port for the radar is still accessible. Very pleased with it.

Does exactly what it claims to do - will save the light should it come off the mount - doesnt affect light performance, use or charging

Simple and secure. Avoids loss of the Varia if the rubber retaining strap on the Garmin-supplied mount breaks.
