Bloody good idea!
Damn this things good!!! Super simple to use, really handy being cordless too (i’d probably melt through the flex lol) helped repair my front bumper after hitting a deer. Not only has it enabled me to stick the bumper back together, but it is also providing a lot of strength in going so, i thought the staples might fall back out but so far all in place. If you use it on bodywork, where possible, take the part off and “weld” from the back to prevent unsightly marks.

It feels cheap but it works
The product works - it has little staples that get really hot, and when plunged into plastic act like a suture. There is also stainless steel mesh that you can embed into plastic - and that gives it real strength. It is cheep and a bit nasty but it does the job. It is worth the money. It does work - provided you flare the staples. I had a lot of trouble with the odd spatula like fitting that you use with the mesh - but figure out that you need to get some pliers on the connectors so they make good electrical contact. Once I figured this out it worked ok.In summery you get what you pay for - its not a quality tool but it works and it has got me out of some tight corners.(oh yes practice on some odd bits before you use it on the real job)

Works really well good having hot blade as well as staples
I used this to repair a bumper. grille and lights. The staples repaired the cracks well and once cooled it was solid with no movements at the cracks. Repaired the grille which is a harder more brittle material, worked well and used the blade to melt the plastic rods in for extra support. Also repairs broken headlight brackets. Really happy with results, saved a lot not needing to buy new lights.Worth noting, let the staple cool before pulling the gum away, if the staple is still hot it moves so you don’t get a rigid fix, if cooled properly before then it doesn’t move. Only takes 5-10 seconds to cool enough.

Great for repairing plastic
This little kit is easy to use and great for repairing plastic. It comes with bags of metal staples and also sticks of plastic to use as fillers. When using the stapler it is better to work from the outside to push the staples gently into place. You then need to snip off the legs - safety glasses essential as the bits fly off fast- abd then rub down the little tips with a Dremel ir similar before filling and preoaring the repair for paint. The repair seems very solid. For filling a larger hole you need to use the solder tip and attach a piece of the mesh provided by melting it into the surrounding area from the inside if possible. Select the correct filler stick and use it around the edges of the hole to strengthen the mesh and then fill as before.with a bit of patience is easy easy to make a near and strong repair

Ok
Welder works OK. But as I thought they would, the "staples" always stick out a little when they have been heated and pushed into plastic, a dremel type tool works to file them down quickly ish. The wire cutters wirh the set are not good
