This is WAXED PAPER, not baking parchment. Do not use it in a regular oven. Use it to wrap sandwiches in a lunch box, or to portion meat and wrap it for freezing, or similar applications.

To tell you the truth I'm not sure. I never looked at the box to see what kind of paraffin was being used. But if its any kind of petroleum based paraffin the answer is no. Its not something youd want in your garden after compost.

Wax paper was used a lot when I was growing up, but I was born in 1954. Younger people are likely not as familiar with it because it’s not used as much these days. It’s not like parchment paper, which is likely what you are looking for. Wax paper has a thin coating of wax on it, and therefore cannot be exposed to oven heat.
