Pro-Elec 3 Switch Adaptor Gang

I looked these up again as I needed a couple for my mothers house. I was surprised to find the exact same brand and model is still produced and sold 3 years after I purchased mine. I completely forgot to review mine as well, (better late than never and if a 3 year review period isn't enough to convince you of how good these adaptors are, nothing will)!!Mine has been in constant use for 3 years and hasn't missed a beat. If that isn't testament to the quality especially for the price, I don't know what is? I can't remember anything about the packaging now as it was so long ago. The units themselves however are exceptionally handy. Unlike a straightforward cube adapter, each socket is switched so you can isolate each individually as required. Each individual socket also has a sufficiently bright LED light so you can quickly tell which sockets are live at a glance. The switches are actually quite stiff on my unit and time/use has never loosened them up. This is a small issue however and I actually prefer them being a little stiff to too loose and then easily get knocked on/off by accident. I just cannot fault these adapters at all and given the solid service mine has provided, I'm about to order a couple of them for my mothers house and I'll need some more for mine in the future too.Excellent product. Highly recommended. 5/5.EDIT: I went ahead and ordered another 2 of these 3 gang adaptors for my house a couple of weeks ago. As with my original adaptor that is now coming up on 4 years of constant use and still works perfectly, they're exceptionally well made indeed. The 2 new adaptors are identical to the original and I'm glad they haven't changed anything, they're still ideal as they are. My 2 new adaptors are being used in the type of wall sockets that aren't actually recessed into the wall, they're the type that stand out a fair degree. Thankfully, the adaptors are still supplied with 2 short and 2 longer plastic screws with wide flat heads that screw into the rear of the adaptor at each end (You then simply adjust the screws as required and they essentially act as stabilising feet that sit against the wall behind the outer sockets to stop the adaptor wobbling around when you're plugging things into the outer sockets). Very handy and it negates the need to physically hold the adaptor still when plugging things in. The adaptors are rated for 13 Amps, so you can plug anything you like into them. Very simple devices to maintain and use, not much more can really be said.They aren't supplied in any proper retail packaging, they just come in clear heat sealed plastic with the included stabilising screws/feet. Additionally, no product documentation is included, neither is there any information about the retailer/manufacturer, or any warranty details, etc. However, given how well my original has performed and the 2 I also got for my mother last June/July '17 too, I didn't hesitate in ordering another 2 for myself again. Excellent product, would still highly recommend them and still happily rate at 5/5.

3 plug extension is great, just what I needed thanks 👍

I needed a few extra sockets in our living room and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly.It doesn't feel particularly well made but it's solid enough, I can't complain about this considering the price.It comes with four plastic screws of two different lengths, these are for screwing in the back of the unit for stability when inserting plugs.They definitely help but ideally would be positioned wider apart as when I push a plug into either the far left or right socket the whole unit still rocks and needs to be pushed back in to the original plug socket.This is the reason I knocked a star off.I like the fact a light shows when a socket is switched on.So far it's worked well for us and it's a bargain at £8.99.I hope you find my review helpful.

I'm very impressed with this socket and I've used it to replace a 3 gang brick type adaptor. This provides much more room for plugging in gadgets (especially transformers with big plug housings). It works well on a double gang socket without interfering with the other plug socket. The 3 individual switches is an appreciated feature as well.A simple yet clever design feature is the provision of some large head plastic screws that mount on the rear (2 for flush mountings and 2 long ones for use on surface boxes. These are just about long enough for a deep box but an extra 5mm would have been better) that make the socket stable when inserting plugs into the outer sockets. In fact, it was more stable than the adaptor and I'd definitely buy another one next time that a short extension lead is inappropriate.

This 3 way adapter is lightweight but robust and all functions work: switches, neon indicators and sockets alike. Plugs are a tight fit in the unit ; just hold the adapter with one hand and pull the required plug out with the other. The adapter is shaped at the back to allow it to sit against the wall when plugging into a normal flush mounted household socket. For attaching to surface mounted sockets there are plastic spacers (2 long and 2 short to be used as appropriate) that screw into the back of the adapter.I use the adapter in my motorhome, as these vehicles always seem to be woefully short of electrical outlets, and it fits perfectly.Overall, a decent product supplied at a good price, received next day using Amazon Prime.

Have my hoover on charge, still room for two more items .

This item arrived very quickly and is adequate but not amazing. I find that it's a bit wobbly when you plug an extra appliance into it, so you have to steady it while doing so,but maybe that's the nature of this type of adaptor. There were some chunky, plastic screws supplied with the adaptor but no instructions or explanation; they may have been to add more stability but there didn't seem to be anywhere for them to screw into.It's the first time I've tried an adaptor of this type; I've always used the traditional, cabled type. This is definitely a far neater option.

Excellent product, excellent value, but after only 3 years of use, 2 of the 3 sockets stopped working.Not good enough !
