JETech Slim Fit Folio Smart Cover Case for Apple iPad 4/3 Gold with Retina Display/iPad 2 - Dark Grey

Before buying this item I read the positives and negatives of other reviews, but because of the great price decided to go for it - great decision - this item is probably 90% of the quality of an official ipad flip cover, but for a tiny fraction of the cost, and you get both back and front covers giving full all round protection. I bought this after having genuine ipad flip cover that had lasted over 2 years but had eventually got so battered and frayed round the edges needed replacing. This cover looks great - looks just like the genuine one, there is a tiny, and I mean tiny, difference in the dimension of the front cover (about 1mm wider compared to genuine), and it also doesn't quite lie flat on the screen all the time (stands up in one of the 'folds' by about 1mm also), however for the price you shouldn't hesitate to get one of these over the original. Does all the things the original does, with magnetic hold and screen auto sleep etc but also with a snug hardback case incorporated that fits over the ipad with a satisfying click into place. Time will tell if it lasts as long, but for the price you shouldn't hesitate to buy this.

I purchased this to replace my official Apple smart case that was completely falling to pieces; and I can honestly say that it more than does the job. Its smart functionality isn't quite to the quality the the official Apple ones are, but honestly, that functionality wasn't what I was looking to replace. Instead, it was the quality, colour, and build that pushed me to purchase this. While it may have been just a touch more expensive than some of the cheaper iPad cases you can buy online, I definitely feel the extra price was worth it. I've seen a number of relatives purchase cheap iPad cases, only to have them fall to pieces in a matter of months and the last thing this case does is show any type of wear or tear and I've nearly owned it for two months at the time of writing this review. Simply put, while it may not be to the standards of the official Apple cases, this one more than does the job and if for any reason I need to find another replacement for my iPad case, I most assuredly know that I'm going to be purchasing another one of these again; hence why this case easily gets my recommendation.

I have been using this case for a month or so now and wanted to come and share my view of it with others looking to buy. Firstly it is very neat. The back of the case clips nicely onto my iPad 2 and seems to hold well. This was my main reason for buying this case over the official apple magnetic cover, it gives protection to the back. I lay my iPad down anywhere and i don't like the backs of my devices getting all scraped. I bought the black cover and it does look nice. When on this cover feels so slim. Holding my iPad, it feels like a newer model iPad compared to how it felt in the last case which was the type that you slide the iPad into and it has a fold over cover. That felt much thicker holding the iPad. This will probably offer less protection if you drop it but definitely protects in everyday use. I don't seem to have any issues with the magnets or the position, the cover closes nicely and always seems to turn the screen on and off. I can't comment yet on how the cover will wear with time but so far so good and i will update if i get any problems. The only thing that i feel could be improves would be where the folds in the cover are. When i fold it back to stand it upright, the base are seems very small and makes it unstable. It will stand on a flat surface but try it anywhere like a bed, couch etc and it falls over easily. This is the only reason i have taken a star off. Overall i think it is a nice cover at a reasonable price.

First thing first - this is not a genuine apple product so don't assume it will be exactly like the smart cover which is over £40 more expensive than this item. The case does its job well, securing and protecting my iPad whilst also acting as a stand. It feels good in the hand the inner also protects the screen which is a bonus. I have used both the genuine Apple smart case and now the JETech and i have to say the only major difference is the magnetic cover that enables the Apple case to fold easier and feel more secure when used as a stand. Please don't be worried by the effectiveness of the JETech ability to auto wake as this still works exactly the same as Apple case. For the amount this costs I would rather buy 5 of these to 1 of the genuine as there is not much difference and both feel, look and serve the same purpose. I would recommend and if you are worried about the purchase - don't be.

Perfect fit for my Ipad. My Ipad is an old model. I feel like an old model. The case I previously had was a tattered old model. This is new, fits perfectly and is very secure. The other bits sadly remain the same :-D On a slightly more serious note the Ipad I have is model number A1458 to check for compatibility.

I bought this as a replacement for my original Apple case which was looking a bit shabby after several year's use. The grey colour is a shade darker than the original and, like other reviewers, my first thought was it was too small, being just over 1 cm narrower than the Apple case. But it does fit - just! it's well described as a slim fit and to begin with one of the corners didn't want to stay in place. By settling the corner concerned in place first and then clipping in the remaining corners all was well and the case has stayed in place since. Quality-wise, I think it's as good as the original case (although lacking in Apple logo and personalisation of original). Price-wise, no contest - outstanding value compared to other cases. How Apple manages to get takers for their cases (£118 front and back) is beyond me.

Great case, this is the 3rd JETech case we have purchased for our kids' iPads. This case is sleek, fits well, protects the iPad from scratches, dings and minor drops. One of the original two cases we purchased is still going strong, the one we are replacing lasted over a year of daily use; before one of the corners cracked and it would no longer 'hold' the iPad. Can't ask for more than that for $13. Not sure our iPads have suffered any MAJOR drops from any height of significance. If you're worried about drops/falls from heights, or you have younger kids; I would recommend you purchase an Otterbox/LifeProof type of case. I have purchased a few Otterbox cases for my employees to use w/our company iPads & they are pretty much indestructible.
