Best bike for little kids.
Ok let me start by saying this is the 3rd bike I have purchased for my son in the last 2 summers. I got him a Schwinn for his first bike and the part where the pedals connect to the bike fell apart after a few months of use. So I bought a bike at Walmart and that bike again fell apart the same way after a few months of regular use, not abuse. So for my son’s 6th birthday I researched on Amazon and read a lot of reviews and decided on this bike. I am so happy with this bike and my son loves it too. Let me explain. This bike is solidly built and feels very nice to handle. Set up was a breeze. The best part of this bike is the ease with my son learning to ride without the training wheels. We had him ride it like it suggests without the pedals on and after he was zooming around with the use of his legs, we popped on the pedals which is a super easy to put on and take off. After 2 days he was riding this bike without the training wheels and we are so proud. My son was so happy to be riding his bike like a big boy and can now ride with his big sister and keep up. I am so thoroughly impressed with the quality of this bike and the ease of learning to ride without training wheels. It’s worth the extra money to buy this bike versus the cheaper alternatives online. The bike is well built and should last a long time. Seats and handle bars are easy to adjust as your child grows too. The bike is super nice looking in person and certainly helps a child learn to ride without training wheels super quickly and successfully. I wish I had bought this bike the first time around as my son would surely had been off training wheels even sooner then 6 y/o. Don’t hestitate, this picky mom approves and I highly recommend this to other parents with kiddos who need a solid bike especially one for learning without the training wheels. We have had this bike for a month and my son uses it almost every day and it rides and looks just like it did when we first got it. Will update if anything changes since I rely on others reviews for making educated purchases on items. Update: We are now a little of 3 months of owning this bike and regular use. It is still holding up strong. Nothing has started to weaken or fail on us. The part where the pedals attach on to that moves the wheels with the pedal movement is still solid and sturdy. No signs of breakage like our other bikes did by this time. Still extremely happy with this bike and have recommended it to a few other parents who were happy to hear about this awesome bike. Hope this helps. 😊 Update: This was our second summer with this bike. My son loves it and it still looks and rides great. I just am so happy buying bikes every couple months is no longer a trend i’m stuck in. This bike will certainly last until he has outgrown it. This has been a great purchase. It allowed my son to learn to ride without training wheel within days and has been a great bike almost daily use. Cannot go wrong with this one. Hope this helps you in making a decision if this bike is for you. I highly recommend to everyone with kids especially ones who want to get beyond training wheels.

Better than using training wheels!
I bought this bike, the 18” Royal Freestyle for my grandson, who was relying on training wheels to ride his other bike. Once the training wheels were removed, my grandson still had problems with his balance. This bike practically gives my grandson the balance he needed to control, as well as the courage, motivation and ambition to ride with 2 wheels and not be dependent on 4 wheels. It is simple to use. The bike came in a well contained box and is extremely simple to attach the handlebars. Due to the extreme weather in Phoenix and him having a long vacation after school, it's been about 6 weeks since I purchased the bike. When I showed him what I bought for him, he was so happy and excited, and I hope that I never lose that memory of his smile and reaction. When I showed and explained to him how it worked, I realized I was missing the pedals that are attached, after the child is confident enough to use the pedals. I may have misplaced the "arm and pedals" that attach to the bike. I honestly don't know. I contacted Cycle Force and explained the situation. I offered to pay for the parts that I could not locate. The customer service representative was pleasant and understanding of my situation. He offered to send me the parts that I could not locate for free, even though I offered to pay for them since I thought I may have misplaced the original parts that were sent to me. He assured me that customer service for their customers were their number 1 priority, and they would ship me the parts I needed, at no cost to me. I received the parts within 5 days after our email and phone communications. Thank you, Cycle Force! My grandson loves his new bike, and we have already installed the pedals. If I am fortunate enough to have more grandchildren, I will purchase your bicycle before any training wheel type of bike! You have a GREAT product!

Great
Ordered this after Guardian dropped the ball on a back order nightmare. Other than being pretty heavy (both for my daughter and for us when inevitably have to carry it) this bike is solid and feels very sturdy and well made. My 4 yr old is on the balance bike mode and I’m excited she can transition to pedal bike without having her have to adjust to a new one. Love the hand brake too.

14” was a perfect size
This little bike is so cute. My son got it for his fifth birthday and he is obsessed! He had a strider bike that he outgrew. I really debated which size of royal baby bike I should get (and which model). He’s kind of short but I wanted a bike that he wouldn’t outgrow too quickly. I wanted him to be able to use it right away with no learning curve either. I ended up getting the 14” bike and I am very glad I did. It’s perfect for him! The seat is lowered all the way and fits perfectly. He loves the “rocket boost” water bottle. He can use the hand brake easily and he likes ringing the bell. Overall the bike seems very well-made and sturdy. It’s heavy but no different than any comparable bikes this size. I’m impressed with the thicker tires, too. My son would ride his new bike all day if I let him! My only issue is the footrest for when it’s in balance bike mode. It sticks out way too much and he could not avoid hitting his ankle on it constantly. It really gets in the way. He gave up after 5 minutes because it hurt too much. I ended up taking the footrest off and trying to eliminate as much as I could from the “peg” that the footrest or pedal attaches to. It still sticks out a bit but he doesn’t bump his ankle on it anymore. Now he rides the bike all over the neighborhood! It doesn’t go as smooth as his strider bike, probably because it has a chain and brakes causing some friction. It’s fine, though. He’s not going at a dangerous speed down hills and ruining his shoes by using them to stop anymore. That was my main goal when I got him this bike! Soon we will put the pedals on and teach him to use the bike that way. Oh and one extra thing he loves is that the bike says “EZ” on it. His name is Ezra and he’s often called Ez so he thinks it’s so cool that his bike has his name on it!

Truly Instant Assembly
There was nothing to this assembly. Sliding in the seat, sliding in the handlebars, using the included Allen wrench for a couple of twists, and popping the cosmetic cap on to the handlebar section (and then a little more to pop on the included batter-operated bell). I would not hesitate at all to "disassemble" this bike back to its starting state if it made fitting it into the car easier, because it's only 1-2 minutes to put it back. I've used strollers that were more way complicated to configure/fold/unfold than this bike was to assemble - and with the stroller you have to do it each time! If you tried to bring this bike to a bike shop to assemble, they would definitely laugh at you. Anyway, I'm happy with this purchase. The 18 inch is a good size for my short 6.5 year old, with the seat at the lowest level. We're still in the balance stage, so I haven't dealt with the pedals yet. I think the price is a good deal especially because with most any other bike I would have brought it to a bike shop to have them assemble it, and that would have added a lot to the total cost.

Beautiful bike, but wasted some money and time
It's a pretty good bike, once I got it. The handlebars have to be tighter down HARD, for them to stay firm. The bike is beautifully made. The switch out mechanism for the pedals worked really well, but he barely used the pegs before wanting to switch to pedals. I kind of regret paying extra for that feature. I could have just put the pedals on myself. The first time I ordered it they gave me a used one, I think. It was loose (was missing packaging), had a scratch in it's beautiful red frame, missing hardware, and was a waste of my time. They took it back and shipped me a new one, and it was beautifu, but seriously brought my scoring down. As mentioned before I got the version with the switch-out peg -> pedals, which comes with the rocket thing under the seat, instead of a water bottle. I kind of regret not getting the one with the water bottle.

Great for a kid
Great bike. Wish the instructions were easier to understand. I’m going to have to take it to a shop to figure out the hand brakes.

Was expecting better for a kid learning with pedals
Not an easy bike for learners because of the position of the pedals, but the rest is ok and the pedals are really easy to remove or add for any kid learning.
