Chita - Single Grain Japanese - Whisky

I've bought this whisky a few times, cus it's really nice and was originally great value for money. As the price creeps up and up, I am less inclined to buy it, though. This is a grain whisky and is pretty sweet and smooth. I think I read somewhere that it's the main base for their Hibiki range as well, which is an exceptional whisky. There's some really good Japanese whiskies on the market, and the popular ones have sky rocketed in price. This one is still one of the more affordable Japanese whiskies.

Very nice whisky. I usually drink single malt scotch as I'm from Scotland. I really enjoyed this, very smooth and easy drinking. Excellent gift idea for a whisky drinker as it's a very good drink that I reckon most scotch drinkers won't have tried before.

Had this at a bar and it was absurdly expensive but tasted great, next day bought a bottle on sale here and have been enjoying it. Taste is smooth and very drinkable.

Dangerously good. I like some variety in my whisky. This is incredibly smooth and light, ie what Japanese whiskys do well. Very different to scotch but a great whisky for warmer days. It's a good price for a Japanese whisky

I'm only not giving it a five because I'm holding it to a high standard vs other Japanese whiskies I've tried, which to be fair are usually £15-20 more expensive per bottle. When it's on offer £30-35 it's certainly worth buying. I think it's a bit over rated at £50 for what it is though. It's a very nice whisky, smooth, nice taste and easy to drink but lacks the more complex flavours of a Yamazaki or Hakushu. I've had 3-4 bottles over the years though and it's always a safe bet when on offer.

Definitely my new favourite whisky!

Bought for a gift, recipient loves it and can now speak Japanese.

Mellow with a wonderful vanilla after taste. This is one of the best Japanese whiskey that I've tasted in a long time. I'd love to go and shake the producers hand for crafting such a delicacy. My brother in law who drinks only "Men in dresses" whiskey has been turned by the brilliant pallette of this well crafted and perfectly flavoured creation. No more Highland water for me, but whiskey from the land of the rising sun.

Ich habe diesen Whisky auf Empfehlung probiert und bin wirklich begeistert. Als jemand, der sich langsam an Whiskys herantastet, war ich angenehm überrascht, wie rund und zugänglich er ist. Schon die Optik macht etwas her, die goldene Farbe sieht im Glas richtig edel aus. Beim ersten Duft steigen feine Aromen von Vanille, Honig und ein Hauch Rauch in die Nase. Der Geschmack hat mich sofort überzeugt: mild, leicht süßlich, mit einem zarten Rauchton. Alles ist schön ausbalanciert, nichts dominiert zu stark. Ich finde, dieser Whisky eignet sich perfekt für Einsteigerinnen (und Einsteiger), aber auch für alle, die einen sanften, genussvollen Tropfen für den Abend suchen. Und das Ganze zu einem wirklich fairen Preis. Ich würde ihn jederzeit wieder kaufen!

Es una delicia, merece la pena comprarlo y comparar con whiskyes de otros lugares. Mucho más suave el japonés, muy buen producto.

Whisky completamente diferente dos escoceses, mas nem por isso deixa de ser um excelente produto! Suave no paladar!
