I had never seen a wooden watch before receiving this as a gift. I'm very impressed. It is very light in weight, even when compared to my much smaller titanium Skaagen. It's very comfortable to wear. The band isn't much thicker than similar metal link bands, but the watch case itself is a bit on the thick side (necessary for strength). In the first couple of hours of wear I had 2 comments on it, both favorable. It looks like it would cost quite a bit more than the purchase price. Mine is walnut, and being a woodworker and having worked with walnut, I know it to be a very tough, durable hardwood that should hold up reasonably well, but it's also very difficult to work with. All of the wooden components of this watch show excellent craftsmanship. It is very well shaped with no irregularities, and it has been sanded perfectly smooth and rubbed out to a nice satin finish. There are no rough edges, chips, or cracks anywhere that I can find. Adding/removing links is a little challenging, even with the included tool. Be sure to look at the back side of the links. The removable ones have an arrow embossed on them to show the direction to push the pin out.

I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase. The watch is really very light. Its crazy how light it is. I wear rings heavier than this watch! The woods is also very nice, and it was true to the color that it shows in the picture. I was just hoping that it would come close in color, so I was so happy to see that the wood is the same nice, red wood color. The face is very nice as well, but the glass face doesn't feel like its quartz glass. If it is, it is very thin. My father has enjoyed wearing it. As he's aged, he's found that having anything on his wrists and hands is painful, but he says that this watch is so light he doesn't even realize he's wearing it. I'm overall pleased with this purchase.

I am writing for 2 watches... this one and the Red Sandal wood …. same brand and type/ modelthey are identical except for wood type..Mt first wooden watches …. my collection ( over 450 watches) are MOSLTY INVICTA ..high end movements.. a couple of ROLEXseveral Val 7750s and 2 "TORBIES" so, yes I am a "watch geek"1. For the price point these are nice watches... fit and finish is very good .. a simple Asian quartz "Chevy grade" movement is expected … 45mm is my low limit for size .. but the wrist presentation is OK …. "uniqueness" outweighs size2. weight .. nice change from my 55-65 mm "monsters" …. not an everyday "beater" for me but ones for my collectionAlso purchased a "3 EYE" multi function (day, date, 24 our) Zebra/ Ebony style - coming soon .. I purchased this as a gift for my spouse and he loved it. However it became snagged on someones cuff in a handshake and subsequently broke. I ended up buying him a second one, but I am hoping the 1 year warranty is real and trying to replace the original so he has a back up in case it happens again. It is very beautiful and he has received nothing but compliments from everyone he meets so it's a good buy, but you'll want to be careful wearing it as it's not a simple repair if it breaks. Some of the wood broke away and could not be located and thus making it more of a challenge to self repair unlike typical watches.

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He is more of a classic-style man who also enjoys woodworking so I thought this was a nice piece which incorporates both traits. I bought it in the black sandalwood and I will say that it appears lighter in the Amazon listing than it does in person likely due to whatever lighting they used to take their photo. When I used the flash to take a photo of the watch I received, it was closer to the color in the listing image. Regardless, it is a very nice, dark wood color. It is a classic, simple style. The hands have a white stripe on them which would make me think it illuminates in the dark, but I cannot get it dark enough at the moment to test that out. It does help them stand out on the face of the watch though which is the same dark wood as the band so that may be its only function. Overall, for the price, I would definitely buy again to gift.

Fun little watch. People seem surprised to know it's made out of wood, and it's trendy and attractive enough to wear pretty much anywhere. The eco crowd will probably like you, too, since trees are considered renewable resources. The watch and band seem to be really well finished, although you'll find it's lighter than you'd think. the movement is said to be a Japanese product, and I have no way to verify that without disassemby, but it does keep good time. I bought the watch as a novelty, and I figure it's well worth the under-$30 price tag.

Superb!.....not only an excellent value but this watch is of high quality. Light as a feather. I did not have to remove any links and it fit me like it was custom made. It's great when you receive a product that far exceeds your expectations and at this price my expectations were moderate.....get this watch. I purchased the Zebra Wood.If you want a watch that is unique and enjoyable to wear this watch is an excellent choice.

The first one that I purchased had a chip in the glass. I took a photo of it prior to returning it. They sent a replacement and while it was in good condition, comparing it to the photo of the first one made it seems like it was a different kind of wood. Still a pretty watch. Very light, almost feels like you don't have anything on your wrist, but also makes you feel like it won't hold up over time.
