I'm sorry I was asked this in error, I didn't actually purchase this item. I purchased a sarcophagus model for a school project. I do have an aquarium however. Unless your buying from a pet store/website it's unlikely to be suitable, paint could very well be toxic to fish. I wouldn't chance it myself.
