Good piece of kit
I have ten guitars which I've been setting up for my preferred playing use and was struggling with keeping the guitar steady when fret dressing and leveling before I purchased this little tool. Very practical and easy to use which folds away quite nicely and ideal for keeping the neck steady while setting up the neck action or simply just putting on a new set of strings. I did consider making one but for the cost it's not worth the effort and being folding it means I can pop it into a drawer until my next need of it. It's sturdy and height adjustable too so better than a fixed height support. I like the Hercules brand and have all my guitars mounted on their equally sturdy wall brackets so I'm quite happy to use and recommend this product of theirs.

Another quality Hercules product.
Hercules make fantastic guitar stands so when I was looking for a neck rest this caught my eye. I needed to fit a new wiring loom in my Gibson Les Paul and given they are prone to being weak around the neck I wanted a strong stand. It performed perfectly and kept a snug hold while I was soldering.

Good value and robust
Very useful tool when changing guitar strings. Folds flat for storage. Feels robust and well made.

Handy when changing strings
While you can manage without this, it helps to keep the guitar stable when working on it. I use this in conjunction with a large towel and a coffee table while changing strings and adjusting the guitar. It helps keep the tuning keys clear of the table when using a winding tool. Works well on acoustic, electric bass and electric guitar. This brand offers decent quality at a decent price. Folds flat when not in use also. It surprised me how handy this basic tool is.

Fully adjustable and sturdier than it may look.
Hi, I use this neck support from Hercules along with a cork mat with a non-slip backing and it does a very good job of exactly what it has been designed to do. I own nine electric guitars and one acoustic, non are high end and only two are worth upwards of five hundred quid (a very good day could see them fetch amounts in the region of [a massive] five pounds & seventy pence) but I’d hate to damage any of them. Since using this along with the mat I struggle to see how any of them have previously avoided an accident. That on it’s own makes it great value for money and a must have purchase. That is before you consider how keenly priced it is when compared to similar (many appear to be far inferior pieces of gear). Only my opinion though and based mainly on other reviews (from friends but mostly online) and the kit’s appearance. The device is very simple but designed very well, it’s sturdiness and stability belies it’s appearance. I have been pleasantly surprised by just how stable this support actually is and upon completing a task unless I was to use excessive force, it will stay exactly where it was placed. I can’t think of anything I could be attempting that would upset it, that wouldn’t have resulted in damage and tears anyhow. Considering there is almost no weight to it, this (for me) was somewhat unexpected. A welcome improvement over the cork designs (and definitely what I was previously using) is the range for adjustment. I doubt accommodating even one of the large acoustic guitars we often see nowadays would be problematic. I use it with both Les Paul and Stratocaster style guitars and only own one (full size but smallish) acoustic and even with a round-back it remains stable whatever I’m doing, the same with the electric instruments. I’ll only attempt basic maintenance so it is used mainly when cleaning or a changing a set of strings and so far always completed without issue. Something like this, you can only honestly review and give zero stars because it’s garbage and doesn’t work or it performs exactly as designed and therefore just as this item and must have five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Buy one and I promise you won’t be disappointed. Actually, why not buy two? It’s not exactly expensive especially for something that actually works exactly as advertised.

Cracking bit of kit
I play the banjo, but I have learnt that if you go banjo Pacific you pay more, ie this £12.99 banjo Pacific £13.99 to as much as £20, I also have a Hurcules guitar stand, it fits the banjo well and again cheaper than banjo Pacific, now this wee stand is absolutely brilliant when you are restringing holds it at the right hight so your not struggling 😉 now I see someone as knocked it down to 1 star because it's made in China I got some news for him 99.9% of goods today are either made or assembled there, but this stand is very well made nice and light but also sturdy so could be used in your gig kit, yep I am very happy with this purchase. Now the guy that knocked it down to one star 🌟 (it's a wonder Amazon let it stay up) take a look at all the gear in your home you will be horrified LMAO

Should have got one a long, long time ago...
One of those small tools you put off getting but when you do yo wish you'd got one sooner. The fold function is much appreciated.

Makes restringing and associated maintenance a breeze.

I thought this was going to be made of flimsy cheap water bottle plastic but it is well constructed. Metal poles that fold flat, and the plastic insert at the bottom is really substancial. Very happy I bought this!

I hunted for ages on the net to finally find this little guy. It’s cheap, well made, stable and adjustable. It’s far better than a cushion under the neck. Just buy it.
