Childrens Bird Watching Guide
Bought this for my 6 year old daughter along with some binoculars. She loves the book...she has been able to easily identify various birds in our garden and loves the information in the book. She understands the information and has great fun trying to imitate the birds call (as described in the book). Definitely recommended for budding enthusiasts.

A book to grow into
I gave this book to my great niece Rebecca for christmas. I was worried that the book would be a bit beyond her as she is just four years old, but I heard she was very interested in birds, so I gave her a bird nesting box and this book. My sister informs me that Rebecca can identify most of the birds she sees using the pictures in the book, but cannot as yet read the book. She will grow into it with time, so it will be a present which lasts her some years.

Great starter book!
Perfect for 6 year old and his granda to bird watch together. Good illustrations. More detailed and better laid out than many other similar books but still very accessible by younger readers.

Excellent book. I gave it to my seven year ...
Excellent book. I gave it to my seven year old grandson with binoculars made by a specialist binocular company that produces a version for children. Dan is the sort who loves bugs and insects and birds. A few months earlier he'd borrowed a pair of my binnies to get a close-up view of a snail. Unfortunately he dropped them with the inevitable result. That's why I bought him these for Christmas. The magnification is good, they fit his hand and they're robust. He was very pleased, all the more so because he wasn't expecting them. And immediately he pulled the book out of the wrapping paper, he spent at least a quarter of an hour reading it. Result!!!

Encouraging an interest in ornithology.
This wee book has helped our grandson expand and develop his growing love of birds. My only issue is the birds are not alphabetical. But it doesn’t bother him. He’s 9 years old.

Nice little book
Great book for a child - I think it just needs more for them to find picture wise because the list at the back is far greater than the pictures inside so confusion sprang to my little one after a while.
