Amazing drum set
Got this for my partners birthday and I can honestly say he plays it everyday. He still hasn't found out all the different setting and discovers new things all the time. Very lightweight so easy to move about. Great quality! Highly recommended

Bass pedal useless
I was a drummer with a band throughout the late 60's to mid 80's. Family life became the priority and I have only played occasionally since. I purchased the DD75 recently, basically chasing old ghosts of the past.Never used edrums, but very impressed with this unit, apart from the bass pedal (switch). Tried it out and instantly realised it was pretty hopeless. The hihat pedal does work, but has no real sense of feeling.Anyway, I have since purchased the Yamaha KU 100 (I think thats the number), and it is an instant improvement. I will eventually purchase the matching hihat pedal also. The main kit takes a lot of getting used to. You do not get the bounce of a proper head (Everplay etc), so good rolls are not really possible. The range of sounds and kits is impressive, and as yet I have only scratched the surface. Old guys and tech comes to mind! Using cans at present, but will buy a small amp soon. All in all I am impressed and it now serves my purpose --reliving happy memories.

HI hat and bass foot buttons are rubbish
sounds are reasonable, pads okay, but the foot buttons for Hi hat and bass drum are complete rubbish. for a beginner it would make it difficult from the onstart as the buttons stick and are not very responsive.

Pedals could be better.
The only issue I have with this kit is the foot pedals. They are very unresponsive and I found myself stomping on them quite hard in order to trigger them. Changing the sensitivity didn't make a difference. If you are getting this be prepared to buy something like the Yamaha KU100 Silent Kick Pedal Trigger and/or HH65 hi-hat controller. That's roughly another £170.Apart from the pedals, this is a very good unit with a nice range of kits. Sensitivity is good and can be configured. This is good for those learning the drums. It's fully portable and easy to carry. For those lacking space who want to play/learn drums, it's ideal.

Great way to learn drums if you lack space
This is a great device. Had it 18 months now. Bought the external plug in foot pedals (much better than the supplied ones). I have it on a shelf, pull it out when I want to play, then push back in for storage. Feels different to a real / electronic drum kit, but means I can learn to play drums in the limited space that I have.I play guitar so run the drums into my amplifier when I want a bit more volume than the built in speakers can provide. I have played in a jam situation with some friends, plugged into a PA system. Sounded great.Very fun device for learning / playing. If I had room I would buy an electronic drum kit, however I don't so this is perfect for my needs.

Good for home practice out side of lessons
This is a really practically alternative to having a full drum kit at the home. I even have my old DD 65 in my studio connected to the P.A system as really good for when I am Jamming along with Students or delivering larger groups. I don't understand that the 1 star reviewing is meaning with it being complicated, it's perfectly simple. Plug it in, turn it on, volume up and hit the pads.
