Delighted with my move to Apple iMac with 21.5 inch Retina display
I was exasperated by Windows 10, an upgrade of which blocked my access to the internet. Without internet access, Microsoft could not verify my purchase of Office 365 and blocked me from continuing to use it, although I had paid for a further nine months of use. I purchased "Switching to a Mac for Dummies" from Amazon and, after reading it, decided that, despite being naive on the ways of computers, I could manage a change to an Apple iMac All-in-one. I use my home computer mainly for e-mails, on-line shopping, word processing and spread sheets. The iMac comes with word processing and spreadsheet software that is adequate for my needs. The "Dummies" book has proven indispensable for getting a grip on the iMac and its mouse and keyboard. The supplied keyboard is fine for my pick and peck typing but might not suit a trained typist. I am reluctant to pay Microsoft for Office on the iMac after my bad experience with their products. Despite the cost, I am delighted to have emigrated to Mac. This is my first All-in-one computer and this 21.5 inch iMac screen is clear and bright..

And welcome change from Windows to Mac 😁👍
After becoming completely drained with the new OS by Windows ( 8, 8.1 and 10 ) which i hate with a passion i chose to move over to Apple Mac, what a welcomed change. So easy to use and set up, only problem i had was moving my iTunes Library of some 4000 Tunes, i attemptied this with the Apple Migration Windows Tool, but only purchased content migrated. I had to do a complete reset of the Mac and reinstall the software. I then purchased a program that allows you to transfer music directly from your iPhone to iTunes and this worked so im very pleased. Not so good if you are a Command & Conquer Fan like me as everything is just far too close over the Window's version.Expensive but worth it...

The computer is 2yrs old but the hard drive is 20yr old technology and it renders this machine almost useless
Slow, slow sloooooooow. Unbelieeeeeeeevably slow hard drive. I'm not joking here it is as slow as my 10yr old budget PC laptop that I thought i had condemned. No dvd drive. Rubbish keyboard for typing - looks smart but is horrible to use. It has crashed numourous times. The monitor is stunning which is a good job because you will be staring at it for a long time waiting for anything to happen. What a hugely expensive dissapointed this is. It is my first Apple mac and probably my last. And, all that is from someone who was just was fed up of using an old windows vista laptop. I still get it out sometimes when the mac won't work on a website or i just need to move some files around its so much easier!

Amazingly high level product.
It's an amazing product, very powerful and with good capabilities for development, graphic and games. The 4K technology is very high detailed and gives a great value to movies and pictures.

Screen quality is stunning as you'd expect on the 4K variant. Ultra slim machine, looks as expensive as it is. Be sure this specification meets your needs, I only realised after purchasing than unlike my pervious 2011 iMac, the memory is not user upgradeable, so what you buy is what your stuck with. Also the 1TB drive that is standard for these machines is a little slow at 5400rpm, though at least that contributes to the fact that it runs nearly silent.

Great sound and display, however I'd recommend going for Fusion Drive,as start up is a little slow.

If wary of moving to iMac from Windows ... don't be
StunningA bit strange for the first week getting over the fact there's no right click, bought El Capitan for dummies for support. That and the build quality plus supplied software soon overcome all problems...don't worry about Word or Excel ... it's sortedWould never go back to windows based computers again, its great to just switch on and goWorks as simple as an iPhone ( very intuitive) and screen quality has to be seen to enjoy
