Got these to make dog leashes. They're fun to use and look different.

I'm getting older- I have weak thumbs and hand joint pain especially in my right (dominant hand) thumb joints. It was a struggle to use the pull down spring standard thumb clips. I didn't use these for leashes (though they'd be Great for that). I replaced the spring clips on my son's backpack which goes on the back of his wheelchair. Now no more irritation and cursing. Squeeze to open and remove- push on to clip in place. If you have to remove and replace a bag for bag checks this is the way!

These are excellent and sturdy. However, I have another similar clip that is lightweight, perhaps aluminum. I wish that version was more readily available to use for dog leashes. This product isn't too heavy, however, and I do use them also. Good product and price.

So far my daughter's dog hasn't outsmarted or broke this yet.

Best and easiest way to work a dog leash

I like the quickness, compared to "dog leash" type connectors or even carabiners. And the ability to release easily even wearing gloves while under the "shock loads" of a bouncing dog!I'm modifying a couple of my dog's leashes to use these instead of the OEM connection.If this style of connector works well, I'll probably get some of the original that these are a copy of. These are certainly OK for the price, however, I think the Aluminum rivets are a bit soft and the tolerances a bit loose for long term, regular use.

I have attached them to my hip belt for my homemade Mono-Walker.

We use it for our long dog leash. Its awesome. She's broken several clips, this one has held up and is easy to use!

So, in the summer it’s not that big a deal, and we’ve been using the conventional clips on dog collars for ever! You know why? They are the cheapest option. Even a carabiner is a more functional choice. This one allows you to take the dogs leash on and off without taking off your mitts. It’s not revolutionary, or life changing, but it is convenient and really cool. I like mine.
