A freak storm left our posse of social outcasts with super powers; Curtis can turn back time, Kelly can read minds, Simon can turn invisible and Alisha can send people into a sexual frenzy with just one touch. Then there’s their two dead probation workers (one is buried under the local environmental monitoring station; the other stored in a freezer in the community centre). And finally, unbeknownst to the others, Nathan is trapped six feet under in a coffin, immortal and very much alive. But it’s not just the ASBO Five who were affected by the storm. With the super-charged local townsfolk going the way of Gotham City, this series sees our gang faced with a whole new world of weird and wild characters. And who is the masked, hooded stranger who seems to be watching their every move? Special Features Behind the Scenes, Simon’s Films, The Making of Misfits Review: A great series returned! - A friend of mine recommended that I should watch the hit, BAFTA winning E4 series 'Misfits', so I purchased the first season on DVD, and was hooked into it immediately, virtually watching each of the six episodes over two days. I came on here to buy the second series, and the third and fourth. If you enjoyed the first set of episodes, I have no hesitation in recommending the next seven, although chances are you won't need much persuasion. In what is one of the most original television programmes of it's kind that I've had the pleasure to see, the show centres around a group of teenagers who are carrying out some community service. They are all portrayed by an incredibly good cast of young talent, and whilst every teen is very different to the other, all of them are likeable in their own ways. There's the shy but very sharp Simon (Iwan Rheon), the hard-as-nails chav Kelly (Lauren Socha), the one-time sporting hero Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett), party-loving Alisha (Antonia Thomas), and my favourite, the cocky, sarcastic, and frankly hilarious Nathan (Robert Sheehan). After being caught in a freak-storm that took place early on in the first episode of series one, these 'misfits' suddenly find themselves with strange superpowers. Although none of these guys were dull in the first place, they all have interesting back stories and hidden depths, shy Simon especially, but these added powers give the show it's edge. It results in not only it sporting having some excellent quirky British humour, but also allows it to enter fairly creepy territory, and supernatural happenings, intrigue, and suspense occur in it's wake. Series two opens where the first left off, with the 'immortal' Nathan lying awake in his coffin, and following the chaos and snuffing out of two probation workers, there's a new one on board. An interesting twist in the story of Simon also takes place, as well as a surprising family revelation for Nathan. First-class writing, storytelling and acting are fundamental in making 'Misfits' such quality television. There's a lot of sex references (more so in this series than the first) and bad language that earns it's 18 certificate, but come on, that's life! The DVD contains the complete seven episodes (including the Christmas special) of season two, broadcast originally on E4 in 2010, as well as ' The making of Misfits' and 'Shooting Misfits' featurettes, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the cast and crew, and eleven, short online films (all 'Misfits' related, such as what Nathan did whilst still in his coffin). Review: Bring on season 3! - What I liked about season 2 is how my thoughts towards each character completely changed throughout the season. My whole view of Simon completely changed (and how lovely is Iwan Rheon this season!) I loved the first episode from the resolution to the cliffhanger from series 1. It was true to character for Nathan and the gang! The writing is still funnier, sarcastic, completely unbelievable storylines which change every character. From season 1, I would of hated the new relationships if I hadn't watched the show. The relationships and story's between characters feel right and make the show better. I like how they introduce new character with crazy powers (Milk power!) into the show and show other storylines outside of our main characters. I especially like how Curtis power also lets us look at other realities that our heroes may have had. The cliffhanger in the Christmas episode was good as it leaves the ending open for some changes. Since the characters personalities are no longer exactly what they were when they got their powers, I think the change will do them good and make the show interesting outside of the neon orange jumpsuits! Can't wait for season 3!

What a treat
Borrowed the first series from a mate of mine, ordered series two and three after seeing the first two episodes of series one. Seen now the complete first series and first three episodes of series two, and the stuff is getting grander and grander by the minute. Wow! The acting is brill, the storyline is (apart from a few minor flaws) brill, the ideas of the writers are absolutely fantastic. I do hope they keep up the good work. I don't want to give away any details of the storyline, since it would spoil the fun of the readers. But this is an amazing piece of work. I think, I will buy the first series aswell, just to have it here, when I'll be going to rewatch it in a couple of months. The ones who made this programme definitly deserve the money. For none-native-speakers like me: The many different dialects make subtitles (every now and then) necessary. A deeply amazed Kraut

Why I only gave this 4 stars...
I am so mixed about this show. It starts off amazingly well. The story is fast paced and stylish. The dialogue is superb and the acting is brilliant. Why am I so mixed? Well, it feels like the original writer(S) were yanked away and some new people took over. It feels like the new writers didn't quite get how amazing this show is. I could be totally wrong, but (mild spoiler alert) the show kind of takes on a different direction and as a result feels more like Misfits 2 by the end as many cast members are unceremoniously written into oblivion at random points. Imagine your favorite restaurant gets bought by a soulless corporation. They replace all the staff and although the new staff are great, things don't feel the same. The decor is the same, but it doesn't feel like home anymore. That is my one and only criticism of this show. That's why I only gave this 4 stars, because the actors made me love them. Then the writers took them from me. (I know sounds dramatic but they really do get under your skin) Do I wish I had never watched this? Heck no, this is probably one of the best series I have ever seen and was hooked almost instantly. I would highly recommend this to anyone if you are a sci fi fan or not. The performances, the dialogue, character development, and dark comedy should appeal to anyone.

Even better than Season 1
As I am in Australia, I can order UK dvds without worrying about zones. BONUS!!!!!! Misfits was a TV show that came out of nowhere. It's fresh, smart, sassy, sexy and original. The actors in Misfits are amazing. They are young and so creative. Each one making their character distinctively - their own. Misfits Season 2 picks up straight after Season 1. Your questions from Season 1 are quickly answered. Like what happened to Nathan? This is answered in the only way that you would expect from this show. The hooded stranger is also unveiled. BIG SHOCK !!! Season 2 is quick and the episodes are just so entertaining and fun. As a little added bonus, they have also thrown in a Christmas Special. The Christmas Special is what is making me look forward to Season 3 - what will our unlikely heroes do next?? This Season was an emotional ride too. There were sad episodes that pushed our heroes to their limits. All in all, this is a must - if you have Season 1, you must have Season 2. If you don't have season 1 or watched it on telly - do yourself a favour and get the box set - it's well worth it.

love it, addicted now
Brought the first series after a passing comment from my brother about it and seeing it on special offer. I instantly became a fan wondering how I missed this when it was on t.v. I do have to admit that when I read about it on the case I thought it sounded rubbish so was very pleased when I found it to be great watching. So much so I had to buy the 2nd series. Again I wasn't let down and although I have now watched the series as they are on t.v. I still have to buy the DVDs cause I just know I am going to want to watch it all again. Can't wait for the next series

COARSE, VIOLENT AND HILARIOUS
More sharply written, in-your-face fare - it forever extending the boundaries. The Infamous Five are still on community service, their new supervisor (replacing the two killed) amusingly humourless and sardonic. This strong second season sees developments. Those supernatural powers, result of the lightning strike, have also affected others. Amongst those around to cause problems are seriously scary shapeshifter Lucy and one who thinks he is in a computer game, points awarded for everyone he tortures and destroys. Who is the five's masked guardian angel - athletically scaling walls, leaping from roof to roof, repeatedly arriving just in time to protect them from grief? (His identity is the season's biggest surprise.) Many highlights and much to startle. Especially effective are the sudden changes of mood (as with what follows a rare tender moment in the Christmas Special). Unexpectedly moving is Nathan's reconciliation with his dad (Dexter Fletcher) and how it came about. Events in this colour-drained surreal world prove strangely addictive, all the cast making the most of their roles. Robert Sheehan is great as gobby, frenetic Nathan. Iwan Rheon as meek Simon increasingly impresses. Seven episodes (including the Christmas one). Interesting behind the scenes extras (Lauren Socha sounding exactly like her character Kelly). Not for the faint hearted and easily offended. This comedy-with-attitude has a cult following, Season 3 eagerly awaited.

Loved it..... Thursday nights are not the same
I have become a huge fan of this series & the DVD has helped calm the craving... Comes with two disc's with six episodes, plus the Christmas special, the Special features include The Making of Misfits, Shooting Misfits, Behind the Scenes & the 11 Online mini films. You get plenty of off screen action, talk from the the talented actors & clever production team: they use different lenses for each Misfit, & the swing & swivel method is explained . Love the premise of social outcasts with super powers, genius, dark & gritty - sarcastic, shocking & hilarious, alot better than other programs of the same genre, blows them out of the water. No wonder they won a BAFTA, Can watch it again & again & still laugh out loud. My favourite episode this season has to be the 'Grand Theft Auto' Episode, where a guy is living his life through an XBox Video game. If you haven't watched the first season do, superb and brilliant British humour, acting & social setting..

Love this Product
Absolutely adore this tv show. The plot keeps twisting and turning to keep you guessing and you never know where or when you're going to end up. Keeps you on your toes, hooked into the drama and laughing at the antics of the characters. Although this is certainly for the adult world (language and partial nudity) I still really enjoyed it. For 18+ - parents be warned.

Misfits saison 2

Also: Staffel 2 muss man unbedingt gesehen haben!
